Why the large drop off of power in the upper RPM range? It's more steady on the pre-flash chart yet the AFR and Boost are about the same.

I'm being told my car isn't affected, either, even though I have all of these problems. If you only look at the last 6 digits, mine is in the right range. However, the first part of my VIN is JA3AW86V28 and the TSB says JA3AW86V08. Does anyone else have a VIN like this? It seems strange.

Thanks Speed Element for running my car on the Dyno the biggest thing i noticed was even though the AFRs are dipping below what your dyno can read, the slope of that entry into the 10.0 AFR is vastly improved meaning it's definately not 9.5 AFR (as noted on the GST dyno) and from about a .5 AFR leaning I made about 15 whp across the board on the heart breaker SE Dyno Dynamics dyno.

Got my Flash done this morning at Concord Mitsubishi, so far the idle issue when i restart the car appears to be gone (time will tell). The other good news is they also retuned the ecu mapping which netted me more Power and Torque and no high rpm stutter at Speed Elements Dyno Dynamics Dyno. See thread here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=338442

Damn it guys, how will this effect our tunes?! Will the Vishnu for example stack the 75whp on top of that or will it just not work at all? what the hell. I have a huge problem with this past 5k rpm and I have not gotten a call from a dealer.

Did you tell them you have the same issues and would like this to be corrected. If they refuse, you can write to Mitsubishi regional rep about your issues and they will look into it. good luck!

Had the reflash done at Concord Mitsubishi...on the heels of Unowned. In and out in 30 mins.

Impressions: Car idle is rock solid. Midrange feels much better and up top is completely transformed.

Definitely get your free 15hp from the dealers! Well...I guess it should have been this way from the start...but at least I feel better about my X now.

After verifying my vin was indeed included, I called my dealer and asked about any tsb's and they said there were none until I gave them the TSB #. Then I was told they won't do anything unless the car is having issues.

Now the only issues Ive had related to this, is the car did die once after start, and had to turn over a few times before it would restart. But I am also seeing rich smoke coming out of the exhaust through all gears also. I told them as such and they said they would get back to me. It's kind of frustrating.

Is this just a service issue with the X, or has mitsu always been like this with Evos? I've never had any dealer problems with my Subaru, and it's even moded.

Did, they told me to call back tomorrow when service is opened. Though they switched me to 3 different people. I am guessing they had no clue what I was talking about

I think it is dealer related...for the most part. The dealers here in my area (with the exception of a few) have been good.

Yah I figured as such. It just seems like from this post, and the ones I've been reading on the notchy 1-2, 2-3 which I have also, seems like ALOT of dealers are being ify on this, so I just wondered if it was more a mitsu thing.

Manifold temp?
We see that a lot on the dyno. Maybe the new run the car was a bit cooler than it was on the old run?

They are going to try and avoid the notchy tranny issue because there is little they can do about it.

Well, the ECU issue has been known for quite awhile according to my service guy. The transmission issue (which honestly I'm noticing less and less with my car) may just be the "normal" Evo notchyness. I know there are a few threads floating around about fluids....so hopefully we'll get more info soon.
