Yea, he seems to be the first to witness no result on that area.

That is true and I am going in tomorrow to make sure, but I was standing there when Mitsu told them that the flash for that particular problem was not ready for release

I'm not familiar with getting a "flash."

What do I do, just bring the car in to the dealer and ask for "a flash?"

Thanks!

I don't have any way to tell if it run more rich or not, but from my butt dyno
I feel more power at the low end now, Maybe this is due to having the stock
filter back in the car, At the high end I feel some lost in power, But the rpm
now just rips right pass 4k to 7k rpm with no lag or bogging like it did before
the aftermarket Filter.

Just got one question for you, Do you still have the stock airbox and filter, or are you using an aftermarket filter? Did you try resetting the ECU by pulling the battery or anything like that?

I have the stock airbox and filter. I dropped the car off and picked it up with the reflash, so I did nothing with the battery or anything.

why couldn't they just fix the upper rpm band?
You are misunderstanding the graph. This happens all the time, and what it is is simply a difference in the speed in which the throttle was pressed. There is no difference in low end power or spool. Oh and to DRAG, the comment about the car probably just making more power that day and that all cars can fluctuate from day to day based on the ambient temperature, I think you are a bit off base on this. All cars will fluctuate a bit based on temp, but not THAT much. You would have to do the first run in 120 degree weather and then go back when it's 20 degrees to see a gain like that. Usually, the most that a car will fluctuate with ambient temp (as long as the temps are somewhat similar and not extreme opposites) is 7-10 at the most.

damn almost 30mpg thats pretty good. Love9sick and I were driving around on Friday night and hit 22.7mpg I think it was. All I know is it was the highest he had ever heard of someone getting. Then we jumped on the expressway and messed with a vette and it shot down to like 14mpg lol,

if this were the case then wouldn't every single dyno graph be irrelevant under a certain rpm? i've never heard of this before. please elaborate. especially when the owner of the car says he feels more lag than before. that seems to corroborate what the graph is showing...

Anyone in Ohio, more specifically Dayton area, have this done yet??

I just called Walker Mitsubishi and 2 different people gave me the run around and would not tell me if they actually had the reflash or not. They didn’t want to hear about a tsb # because that was "strictly for the service tech". I told them I had the idle and stutter issue, but no dice. The one guy told me that most, if not all, that is posted on the web is not true, so I guess you guy’s don’t know what you are talking about

I don’t want to drive there to only find out they do not have the reflash. This is disappointing, too, because I already have an issue with Jeff Schmitt Mitsubishi and I really need a dealer I can trust in the Dayton area to get service done to my car

My car was in for service and the dealer called me and told me about the reflash. They did it, and my car still runs like **** above 5000. They specifically told me that this reflash was to resolve the idle issue only, and would do NOTHING for my high rpm hesitation. They said that another reflash would be issued soon to take care of the rich fuel condition and that they would call me when it was ready.

If you are up for a little drive, Ray Skillman Mitsu in Indianapolis volunteered the flash to me and took care of it no problem. I didn't know about it before they showed it to me.

Just called my dealer the guy said the reflash is for the idle problem. but from on here people say it's cleared up more than that. I will find out tomorrow, i really hope it takes care of the high rpm hesitation, and not so good gas mileage.

i'm under that 49108 too.
