I recently bought an EvoX about a week ago. Three days after I got the car the frickin service engine soon light comes on...I go to the dealer quick fast and in a hurry cause I just bought the thing. They told me about the reflash issue. I've been reading and a lot of folks are saying this thing should come off the line quicker once the reflash is done...I took it on a road with my friend and it ran 13.8 with the light on....I also am just learning how to launch an all-wheel drive car..hopefully I can get this light off cause its driving me up a F*@#in wall!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got my factory reflash. I just told them that it would sometimes idle really rough and they had no problem doing the flash.
However, I don't notice anything better BUT the idle. It doesn't feel faster, it still hesitates at high rpm. Mileage might be slightly better, I got 25mpg from the dealer back to work w/ cruise control at 65mph.
Maybe needs some more pulls to relearn the fuel map and tune itself.

also it's possible if the car was recently manufactured that the latest software came with the car from the factory.
There should be a TSB sticker under your hood somewhere, my tech told me they have to "technically" put that sticker there, I told him I hate stickers and he said I can put it in the glove box for now and you can tell them it fell off. Common place to look for the sticker would be the passenger underside of the hood near the passenger front vent on the hood, that's where my guy told me he puts them usually so they are mostly out of sight.
My vin is 046651 and I called my dealer and they said mine wasnt elligible for any reflash. As far as I know my vin is a smaller number than 049108, and mine has a mfg date of 12.07 . Dang dealerships.
Just flashed mine as well. The idle is still a little rough but it seems a little better. The gas mileage appears to be better as far as the real time MPG meter reads. On the freeway, I was never able to cruise and get any better than 25 mpg. I'd have to lift off the throttle to do that. After the flash, I get slightly over 25 mph. I'll measure the old fashioned way with a fill-up and see if I get any improvement.
Full throttle is quite a bit smoother but it's hard to tell if I gain any hp.

well i had to go to 2 different dealerships to get the reflash...the first tech guy was really nice but did not seem to know anything about a reflash... i even told him the tsb but he insisted he could not do anything... then i went to dealership # 2... and he looked it up... found my vin was prior to the effected evos and i was out of there in 20 minutes!
