Man this pisses me off you guy's are having an easy time with this. I've gone round and round with my service manager, took him the tsb # had him look it up. My vins included, then I get the No Cel, no fitx answer and I keep pressuring him. Then he says he contacted the Evo Tech line and now they want to run a fuel trim on the car which is happening in the AM.
My god why can't they just flash the damn thing. Sigh. I at one point pondered selling my STi for a MR when they come out, but with all this crap, screw that.

Post factory reflash.... still stalling
I had the reflash done about two weeks ago and since my car has had below normal idle fluctuations and stalled out completely both times. My dealer wants me to bring it in to look at it again? So, WTF. Did they tell me that the reflash was done and lie to me?
Curious to see if everyone else that has gotten the reflash has had any relapse of the idle/stalling issue? Or if my car is just f'd up. Thanks. BTW, I have recently replaced the headunit and all speakes and added two amps. Do you think the dealer is gonna complain that is the likely problem? Thanks

There should be a TSB sticker under your hood somewhere, my tech told me they have to "technically" put that sticker there, I told him I hate stickers and he said I can put it in the glove box for now and you can tell them it fell off. Common place to look for the sticker would be the passenger underside of the hood near the passenger front vent on the hood, that's where my guy told me he puts them usually so they are mostly out of sight.
I got u bro, call 714-372-6000 and ask for DIETRA pronounced DEETRA. Tell her STEVEN CLARKE from Ny referred you to call her. She'll call the dealer for you and tell them to stop being stupid. I was having a hard time as well and she helped me out. I called her myself to put in the good word for you but she didnt answer so I left her a voicemail. Tell her your upset with the car and the issues your having and that you WANT the TSB done and you dont want to get blown off.

Thanks man, I'll do that right now. I also called mitsu directly and filed a complain and recieved a "Service Request #" and they say they've opened a case and I will be contacted by tomorrow regardng the issue. I'll let you know what Dietra says. Thanks again
Put a call in and left a msg.
You know what's got me bothered now? Even if all this works, the call to mitsu, and if Dietra gets involved, and the dealer says ok we'll do it, do I really want to trust them to do it?
sigh, I hate being 3 hours from a major city.

Logon: I'd call them and tell them you don't think they actually flashed it because it shouldn't be stalling/rough idle after the reflash. If they deny it, ask them nicely at first where your TSB sticker that is REQUIRED by Mitsubishi USA is then proving that they infact flashed it. Or complain enough until they hook it up to the MEDIC again and you can see for yourself that it has the most current software update available.
Mitsubishi apparently mandates that this TSB sticker be placed in the car after the dealership has performed the work as a way to "head count" the number of flashes done from my understanding and that of my tech.
Meffiez28: Just go back into the service area and watch them do it. That's what I did, that way you know for sure that it is done and you also don't let them loose with your car out of your sight EVER. It should take maybe a full 10-15 minutes tops for them to hook the car up and the flash to load onto the ECU. Also make sure you get the copy of the TSB sticker they are required to give you and post up the number on it to verify that you got the flash that most of us got or a different reflash. Supposedly like I said before mine was the most up to date and I got it done last Thursday and my dealership had received that updated flash the day before to the existing stutter at high rpm flash. ~Trent

the only way a dealer will flash it is if its actually having the problem the TSB states. The dealers will not just flash your car just because there is TSB. If cannot produce freeze frame data the supports why its being flashed the Mitsu charges them back for the claim.
Can someone post a picture of their sticker? I got the reflash but my idle has been doing iffy things lately which makes me second think their work. The service dept has been hella shady.

Romeo: I'll take a pic of mine when I get home tonight and post it up
-Pull car into bay

-go outside to customer and bust his ***** about warranty because he has Tinted windows
