My car hasn't stalled yet (almost does) but it did throw the same cel after the reflash. Took it back to the dealer and they told me mitsubishi tech was aware of some cars after the reflash still having problems. Didn't have a fix and was working on one. Cleared the code and said they would call when they had a fix. This was 3 weeks ago.

Perhaps you have a faulty ecu. It might be in your best interest to see if you could get them to replace your ecu and see if that fixes the problem.

alright, my last post was may 9th, so to update today. There is still rough idling and so far no word from the dealer. I don't think that they will call me back. thats just how bad dealers are. I really do not want to go through with the Lemon law. Seems like it will be very time consuming and will try to avoid it if I can. However it may be the only viable way to get this issued resolved. That will probable take getting a different car if the dealer does'nt get the issue fixed. Thanks for all the replies.

I suspect the dealer will replace the ecu next. I am going to call for another appointment so well see.

Mitsu released another ecu flash today morning. But idk who gets it first or what.. Its suppose to fix what wasn't fixed the first time.. The idle issue and more of the up top hesitation. Southcoast mitsu already has it and I have an appointment for tomorrow.

That's all I know..

Yup, I want someone to post the TSB. I know SouthCoast has it, I just don't want to drive 100 mile round trip again with gas prices like this..

My car idles strange 50% of the time and throws the a CEL..with tuning this should go away...

1st and 2nd factory reflash + ECUTEK??

I just wanted to make sure that if i dont have any factory reflash (because my deal still as never heard of them) that i still wont have a problem getting an ecutek tune. I heard that some are havin problems tuning there cars with ECUtek with out having the factory reflash.

I'm curious as well because AMS states that with their tune they apply all TSB's. I don't understand why it matters about the dealer flashes? Won't the new tune just write over the dealers flash anyhow?

They will work. Dyno4mance has checked all three possibilities. My car flashed with no updates, another car with first flash only read, and I dumped the data for the second flash update for one of Andrew's Florida customers. EcuTeK had that working within a day.

So to answer your question, no matter what version of the USA ECU you have currently (Original flash from Japan, reflash 1, reflash 2, or reflash 1 then 2), EcuTeK will work with it.

I have a service battery on my dash, would that affect the ECUTEK communication with the ECU?

Also, if anybody know how to remove or resolve the service battery on the dash, that would be awesome.

Thanks

Try resetting the ECU. Unplug the battery for awhile when U are washing your car or doing something outside. Then plug back in see if battery still comes on. If it does id go to dealer. Ive had a new car in the pat that had a bad battery.

I already tired resetting the ECU by disconecting the battery for a couple of hours. It is still giving me a Service Battery with a picture of a batttery on my dash.

I can't seem to find the battery fuse. Anybody know where it is located? I was installing a boost gauge and tapped into the wrong wire.

Thanks.
