The Ecutek software/flashes so work with the current mitsu ecu flash update. I had it done on my car upon delivery and AMS added their stock car flash on my car a week or so later. No problems and GREAT results!

So what are the benefits of flashing a stock ecu, and can the stock ecu hold more than one flash?

Try reading a lil more on the tuning section. On a stock evo x with just a tuned ECU there getting over 40 AWHP. They run pig rich from the factory so there is a lot of power to be made with just a tune. I am not sure but i dont think the ecu can hold 2 maps, i hope i am wrong on that cuz it would make my live a lot easier but i dont think it can.

Also if you start to modd your car, you have to tune your car in accordence with your mod or else your car is going to be running like crapy. Plus your car will run a whole lot better, and you will gain a lot more power with a tune.

What did you guys say/do to get the factory reflash?

Hi guys, Im located in Toronto Canada...purchased a ob evo a month ago, heard about reflash that was available so I phoned up the dealer that I got the vehicle from, I told them is a reflash available for my evo at your dealership and they were shocked to hear that there was a reflash available, I even give them the memo numer (TSB 0813006) and they said they will call me back, but so far no answer. So is the above number correct for the reflash and is the memo number the same for US and canada? also did anyone in canada actually got the reflash done by the dealer to their car?

Thats the correct number. They should easily be able to look it up and it will give them all the info they need.

I went thew this last week , I told them it felt like the car wanted to shut off at a stop. the dealer here in fl had no idea about it. they had to call and have the download sent to them. I gave them memo # TSB-08-13-011 the didn't say if it was right but they did get the download.

I dropped my car off for an oil change and asked for the 2nd reflash for hesitation over 5k rpm.

Got the car back and it was flashed (sticker under the hood). Of course, my dealership has really awesome techs and service advisors...

douchebag at my dealership looks at the ceiling when talking to customers b/c he thinks he is better than everyone and claims it was just made up. not doing business there again.

got an appointment to get it looked at somewhere else. i pray for that reflash because that hesitation is definately there.

Where is the sticker that states what flash you have? I have to bring my car in for some crap and want to know if I should ask for the reflash. Damn dealers suck. Just slap them around initialdrew. Give them some canadian bacon and maple syrup and they will magically know what you are talking about :-P

I told them i've read about the reflash on the forums and it matched my problems with high rpm hesitation. They wheeled out their computer and showed me how to do it.. Awesome service!

After reading a few of these posts I'm starting to realize I too have this "hesitation" up top.

Though I'm sure this subject has been beaten to death a bit already, what would I have to do when I go to the dealership to fix this problem?

Just tell them about the TSB and search the TSB number on here bring that information to them and ask them to reflash it. It shouldn't be a probelm on their end at all although some dealerships are complaining about doing it. It will fix your hesitation up top and lean the car out a little bit which makes power.

In my experience, the first reflash fixed my 5k+ rpm stutter and the second one didn't do much except stop my revs from hanging and slowly dropping back to normal dropping like they should when you rev it and let off. ~Trent

factory reflash

i read about the factory reflash a couple months ago, but i never got a chance to get it done.

but now i called the dealer and they said that i need to meet certain criteria for them to do it for me.

so i was wondering..what the factory reflash actually does and if i need to get it done? and what i could tell the dealer so they'll do it for me and how it'll affect the car? or would it be better to jus do a ECU mail in tune?
