I will concur with the above statement.

Before the flash, I barely got 190 miles on a tank (meter was completly empty) with mostly highway miles. Average of 16 mpg.

I changed my oil to 10-30 after about 300 miles. After the flash, I was able to register 250 miles on a tank averaging almost 20 mpg.

This is what makes a Subaru, a Subaru! Ha.

Welp I got a case opened with MMA, so hopefully that will solve my woes. I'm still opposed to them running the fuel trim tomorrow, as a few different service managers said theres no point, but I'm still going to take the car in tomorrow. The damn staples are falling out of my seats too, sigh, so I got more to complain about.

I'll keep you updated as to what happens

I am experiencing this as well. Still have the rpm fluctuation at idle from time to time. It hasn't stalled yet thank God.

I will def. be going back to the dealer. Apparently the dealer is supposed to lay a sticker somewhere on your car with the tsb on it. Can t find one on mine anywhere so I think I got shafted to drive an hour of my time to the dealer just so they could see if my car really did need to be flashed if I would call back and complained about the same stuff. Either that is whats up or the reflash has fell way short of fixing the issues.

Stalled once after the flash and never before. The rpm jumps a bit but not as much as before flash. The car feels much better up top though so I don't think they lied about the flash.

I only had a pre flash stalling problem a couple times, both times were when I stalled it by accident, and then restarted it, and then it stalled a couple times on it's own after that. Other than those times, no problems at all.

Also, my car post flash is a whole lot faster from about 5000 RPM through 7000 RPM. It used to be tha tth car would sputter along from 5000 to 7000, and I could easily anticipate when 7000 was coming around. Now the tach just sweeps past 7000 pretty quickly. It is a huge difference. My manufacture date is some time in Feb 2008, are your cars earlier? You guys may be having some other problems?

I think a lot of the power gains are placebo effect. I got mine "reflashed" and my idle sucks worse now and the car feels no different, almost worse.

Yea my idle is still a little jumper but has not stalled after the flash, however I am having hard starting issues. The other day it took 4 times to get the car to start!

Welp, I took the car in for the Fuel trim appointment and got turned away. They said since there is a case opened, they could not touch the car, not even open an RO until they heard from MMA. So I left.

I get a call from a tech, or whatever they call them and she said they were told they CANNOT perform the reflash without a CEL period..... She said to reschedule the fuel trim and go from there....

WTF?!? This is so pissing me off beyond belief, I don't know what to do. sigh
