to answer the question above: I would ask dynoflash about that question. But i think the Mitsu factory flash will just overwrite the ecuteck flash.

To the *****es up top:
Piggyback is great if you plan to only do simple mods to the car, but not great when you put alot of mods on your car. Even worse you have to hack up your stock wires.

Great artical from Eric Hsu at XS Engineering

I had the dealer do my update on fri 4-18, my car was stalling on occasion.

Huge difference in the way the car drives.

The tech that did my car was talking to me and has an EVO X.
He says the retune puts more power on the bottom and mid.

After the reflash and driving the same route back under the same conditions, the computer was reset and was showing 25-26.

I'll know more after running a few more tanks of gas and doing the calculation the old-fashioned way, but the computed results are certainly encouraging. I'd be very happy to get an extra 4 MPG.
It would be great if you get those extra 4 mpg. I need that too for my IX - these gas prices are killing me .

I got my car reflashed, but I still get poor gas mileage. I didn't expect to anyways, but just an FYI, I don't think this reflash helps improve gas mileage.

For those who think you might need a reflash, just talk to the manager, and ask him/her to see if they can check if you car needs a reflash, don't just ask for a reflash.

Example, today I went in and went straight to the Service Department Manager (since the other guy was a ***** about it over the phone), I asked him if he could check if my car needed a reflash, and he said yes, no questions asked. I'm dropping my car off tomorrow for checking if it needs a reflash, and to also repaint my back right passenger door since there was a scratch since the time I bought it (meaning I don't have to pay for it).

So yeah, just asked the manager if they can check if you car needs a reflash if you are unsure about it, rather than asking directly for a reflash.

Note: The manager himself said there's no need to have a CEL on, he said so himself that most do, and some might not. So don't take the BS about the CEL, because I got it from one of the guys there. So just go directly to the Service Dept. Manager if they give the CEL BS.

finally got it done today at hempstead mitsu. Took a lil while to get it done, but they did get it done

I noticed the car is def smoother up top, feels a lil bit faster, and on the way back mpg seemed to be a lil bit better, but I need a few days of driving to see how true that is

Got my reflash done today at Don Herring Mitsu in Irving took them all of 15 minutes and I sat back there and watched the whole procedure. According to my tech, they just got an update to the original high rpm stutter flash yesterday so this is the most up to date flash from Mitsu that I've heard of anyone getting. Anyone else been told this in the past 1-2 days?

Haven't really gotten a chance to test out the improvements because it was stop and go traffic back to work on the lunch break. However first gear in the parking garage seems to be alot smoother when letting off the throttle then before and revs more smoothly. Full impression on the drive home tonight! ~Trent

I just got mine reflashed and it didn't say anything about high rpm hesitation anywhere in medic. There is no reflash for that, according to my dealer. The reflash for the D1320 is the only one, however there was an update to it recently. I asked them to look for any info about the high rpm hesitaion thing, and there was nothing. In spite of this, my car feels very different and pulls more smoothly and a little bit harder to redline than before. I feel as though I got the flash for the high rpm hesitation, but again the tsb and info about the flash says nothing about it.

Why would the reflash for the 1320 fix this, especially when it mentions nothing about it in the description of what is fixed? Not only that, but everyone else that has gotten the flash for the idle has also seen improved high rpm performance. WTF is going on? I wonder if perhaps the newest update to the 1320 flash incorporates a fix for the hig rpm hesitation. Of course then again they would've mentioned something about this. Also, why is it that every single dealership that I have called and asked about this tells me the same thing; one flash for idle and nothing else. WTF?

Do you know if, even though I bought my car at one Mitsu dealer I can go to the dealer you went to, to get this re-flash done?

I know my car deff need this done, since I have the hesitation at high RPM and some times when I stop the idle goes crazy and the car has shut off twice so far.

Also what would I need to say or ask when I go there?

Well this reflash doesn't fix the problems it describes because my vehicle is doing it and I took mine into the dealer today and they have told me I have the most recent software :\

The service advisor showed me the step by step TSB process and where you get to the point to check the version. My version is current.

Mine feels much better. It never really had the idle problem, (only did it twice) but now the idle is at 750 rpm like it should be, and it's much smoother and pulls harder in the high rpm range. I'm happy. I wonder why you are still having issues? Everyone else is happy with their results except for you and DRAG. Perplexing...
