I just got mine flashed at concord mitsu, The hesistation is almost gone I felt a slight dip in power once, and ever since then its been smooth till redline. Also a noticible increase in power.

liar, we were hoping you would show up. I was the only storm trooper there around 3pm. They re-flashed me, runs so much better and smoother now.

I reset the battery, I don't think it did much. Though I didn't pull the battery for long enough I think. I will try again.

They are supposed to retard the timing. I will get the sheet later and write here. They are meant to do two things.

Ha. I just got a call back from the dealer giving me the "no CEL no reflash" song and dance. I guess the ****ty idle just comes with the car and I have to get over it...or pull the 02 trick. Anyone else successfully winged that one?

Disconnecting your battery wont do anything, the flash is installed on your ECU. Its not just a setting that can be reset.

Running so rich that the car has idling issues, is bad for 02 sensors, catalytic converters, and your valve-train.

You guys really need aftermarket tunes on these X's, by a reputable tuner.

Have you ever spilled gas on your car, while pumping it up at the station?

Well if you leave it there, all the road grime will stick to that spot and after a few days you can see the dirt stuck to where the gas spilled on your car.

I imagine the same thing is going to happen, with the extra fuel (runnning rich) these motors are spitting out, inside your motor!

The idle issue had nothing to do with too much fuel at idle. Read the TSB.

The upper rpm hesitation is probably due to to much fuel, but also too much timing. Whatever it is...the car does NOT like it.

so after i have waited for my appontment, they tell me they dont have the software and they have not heard of any issues.

im just in shock. they are telling me that there was a flash available at one point but it was not taking to the car well and it is not available anymore....

Im going aftermarket !!! like always!!!

They need aftermarket tuners and verdors working for these engineers, so when the car is released it runs like it should!

Dealer spoke of 2 flashes. One being the low idle flash. And one, yet to be released, flash that "adds around 20hp". Not sure how credible this is, but maybe something else for us to look forward to? I'm not sure how much I trust my dealer...

I am cancelling my appointment for the reflash and will just have the car ecutek tuned instead. I was thinking of getting the factory reflash for the sake of having dyno4mance be able to pull the base map and see how it differs from the stock mapping and applying the idle map changes to the ecutek tune, but I am getting cold feet with all the problems that I'm hearing from this reflash. The dealer tht mentioned that some of the X's aren't taking well to the flash might be right, and that could explain why some people are having good results and some are not. Hmmm.
