got my flash today, but since mine still isn't broken in yet I can't comment on any performance changes. One thing that pisses me off is they put 4 miles on my car and I didn't notice until after I was miles away from the dealership...

I've been getting between 11-12.5 KM/L which is definitely an increase on my way to work going 110 KM/H the whole time.

i would assume the ecuflash will just write over any existing flash so it wouldnt matter...my question is how would a piggy back ecu that is tunned from the factory flash work when plugged into a car with the new factory reflash?

Lol, I bet they did xD

and if not then just cruise on a nice Evo lol

Anyways, is getting 19 MPG shifting every 2500-3000 RPMs a good average? Well I drive from my house to my girlfriends house which is about 5 miles away and I go local. Also get the same number from her house to my school which is like another 5 miles. but its half local and half highway. I don't drive so far away so I'm not so sure if thats a good amount or if that's what I'm suppose to be getting.

Also another question, above the MPG average, on top of it it says MPH, what exactly is that averaging, the average of how fast I go? (well anyways if that matters too, then in my screen it was showing 24 MPH and 19 MPG)

Piggyback changes the info before the ECU sees it by a percentage then the ECU makes changes to car. so if you tuned it then had a reflash you would need to retuned to get the same results. since your baseline changed.

ok, I feel like my Evo needs a reflash but then the service department keep saying no unless I get a CEL, so what should I do?

My longest drive was a 30 min drive on the freeway, and my MPG was like 24? and in city/local I always get below 19. Should I go to the dealership and bug them until I get a reflash so I can feel better? lol

haha I wish I knew more about cars so I could do that, but I guess I'll just go in this weekend or something and ask the manager that helped me last time. Because the other guy was just bleh and annoying.

I called in and ask about the TSB # 08-13-006 and he was like yeah what about it, and I told him if I could get a reflash for mine and he starts looking up my VIN and says that mine isn't affected and that no reflash are made unless CEL shows up. And then he asked me where I got the TSB # from, so I said from a forum and he says, don't listen to those people, they don't know what they are talking about so in my head I was just laughing for what he said. But yeah, I trust this forum way more than I trust what he says xDD

So hopefully I can talk to the manager tomorrow in the morning, he gave me his card so I can get to him easy ^^

Man, it seems like Mitsu is losing money on giving reflashes... Why else would they be so reluctant to give them to EVERY evo X that got purchased? It just doesn't make sense.

I feal you bro, my service department told me the exact thing (dont believe that interenet stuff). The service department here in Tampa is also refusing to fix the problem without a check engine light. I actually yelled at the turd on the phone when the first question out of his mouth when I called and said I was having isues with my EVO was "Oh, and what mods have you made to it" (dripping with sarcasm). No kidding without missing a beat I asked him how big his ***** was and how is wife could put up with something that small. When he said none of your (explicative) business I answered "exactly, now fix my car"
