I just got my ww evo x reflased. When I went there they told me at mentor mitsu the same thing monday. So I told them about how my evo hesistates at high rpm idels rough and lets out blk smoke. So I had an appt today they flased it and guess what it does rev better up top I feel no more power it just feels a little better but I think it was worth it.

Doesn't your car need to have a certain production date range to meet the criteria too? Thought I read that in one of these reflash threads. Don't really feel like searching for the specific dates though, if anyone knows off the top of their head, please share.

the 2nd reflash is for any GSR.

Ya'll need to find better dealers.

Gillman won't reflash mine either as they say they can't reproduce the problem. Nor could they reproduce the 2nd & 3rd grind, or the tweeter rattle, or the seat rattle.... ****s.

same dealer i got mine.

I can say service is non-existance after i bought my car. they didnt even call me to see how i like the car, nor did they call me to tell me my plates are in. only had the car 3 week so far.

i also get the 2-3 grind, plan to change it out with some amsoil soon.

the dealer i bought it from were D!cks and told me there was no such thing. then i threw a p1320 and they said it was nothing then i told them about the hesitation. they drove it. you know because i might be lying to get free software for my car. and of course said nothing was wrong. i said "compared to what you dodge caravan?" i never went back

called another dealer and mentioned the code and was told to bring it in. had it hooked up to the medic for over and hour only to be told the medic crashed and i would have to come back. they were nice and seemed sincere so i will be bringing it back likely next week.

in the interim i picked up a k&n drop in and was surprised about how much of a difference it made. it isn't a tune or major mods. but it's just an oil filter that made a bigger difference than i expected.

Mine threw the P1320 and they reflashed based on my advice. I told them to look up the hesitation over 5k rpms and the need for a reflash. Tell them your car's retarded. They always love that when they look up the code and see it is a problem with the timing chain retard.

If they don't want to reflash, tell them you are going to call corporate and file a complaint. They'll jump all over themselves to take care of it.

Edit: I should say "based on my advice I got on this forum". I didn't have any idea what was going on until everyone on here was kind enough to help me out. Thanks everyone!

jifunk701 - take your car to united mitsu, they will reflash both flashes for you. Ask for joe int he service department. he is the only tech there certified on the X. he's also an evo owner so he won't give you any ****. I spent enough time in there back when i got my flashes they will just flash you and get you out of there to be rid of you

on a side note... i wish i lived down in phoenix again. Mark mitsubishi in glendale az has the best service manager i have ever met. I was there a few weeks ago talking to him while getting an oil change and he was very cool with evos. Told me they know evo owners want to bolt on more power and its not a problem unless the mod actually cause the damage. He told me they wouldn't go voiding warranty if you have exhaust and intake or other minor mods. he also said they have had a couple x's come in already with failed transfer cases.
