Factory reflashes, hesitation, stalling, and everything you need to know [merge]
+1 for the TSB. This is a new flash since they one a few months back for the timing issues on specific vin X's right? If so i need to look at it and hope and pray.
It took my dealer 5500 miles and finally a CEL before he would flash it despite displaying all the problems, and having the correct vin. sigh

imo your only REAL option is to do a mail in tune with dynoflash or someone else. you are going to be w/o your car for a few days, but i'm sure AL would work with you to get your ecu overnighted both ways
Slight Hesitation at 2.5K RPM
Hey guys,
As the title states I'm having a hesitiation issue at 2.5K RPM's, it's basically a sputter when the RPM's hit the aforementioned level. I'm going to the dealer this weekend to take care of some non-related service and I will mention this problem but I wanted to get the community's thoughts and see if anyone else is having this issue. Thanks in advance for your input.
The car has no mods and the latest dealer re-flash.

i get a similar problem but only when its cold and still warming up. it just seems to sputter around 2.5k and then takes off. (kinda like it just spools out of no where) its hard to drive lol. no power, sputter, and then it jerks with an onset of power.

Yeah it usually sputters whne I'm just cruising in 3rd or fourth when it's warm or cold and it happens in a split second. No big deal really just kinda an annoyance.

I have the same exact problem that you guys are talking as well, 2.5k RPM in 5th. I went to the dealer before to get the 2nd reflash, like right after I got it but apparently I have it already, so I really doubt there is anything the dealer can do, although I am not convinced I have the flash, I just think they didn't want to flash the car. It seems to happen more in the cold, but it has been there for a while. I am glad to hear the cobb cleared it up, I was planning on getting that anyway, so now more incentive I guess.
How do I know if I got the latest factory reflash?
I just bought an 2008 GSR with 6,000 miles on it. I don't have any stalling issues as metioned in other post's but I do notice when in say 2nd doing about 25-30 MPH and I give it alittle gas it feels like it kinda jolts back and forth alittle and then goes(Like i was in 1st going like 4-5 MPH) . I know EVO's are known for there turbo lag and I was curious if this is normal on an X. Also how do I know if I have the latest reflash?
Any other cars have this jumping idle problem? I am at 15000 miles and it just started, it almost dies and jumps around 500-1000 RPMS when I am at a stop. Also the today the car studderd at a higer RPM when I went to pass a car. I am thinking bad gas, vacume leak, any other ideas?
The car has a test pipe, K&N drop in filter, and a ECU flash base map for 91 octane gas. I have been running this for about a month with no issues untill today.
