For a rough guess sure, but to directly compare there are just too many variables and cars react differently to mods as we all know.

I hate them too, I just tell people to get their baselines or at least another Evo X baseline on that dyno and then figure out what the typical driveline losses are and go from there. It's why I convert everything I do to crank HP since that number doesn't vary so much except maybe a bit based on Baro & Temp but you can account for those differences.

I'm going to try and get a boost plot for comparison sake posted today, holding 30+ psi sure would be nice.

The context was whether the Red on the 8/9 usually makes more power than a Red on a X. Such generalizations are satisfied by a rough guess.

The reason that most people are interested in this thread is because the BBK full is awesome on the 8/9. I wouldn't pre-order one, prior to seeing a single dyno graph, if I didn't expect great things. I personally don't care if it is 20hp + or -. It's about doing the best with what you have to work with, imo.

Sorry for not being in this thread over the holiday! I was moving! and couldnt get online!

More is coming, the GST car had some hiccups and is being corrected... this time of year makes it tough for anyone to get anything done...

there will be more coming shortly,

im getting a quite a few pre-orders... so once the wheels are blue we will let everyone know when we can ship

cheers

Is the "BB-X" a BBK version for the X or is it the bigger wheel "BBK-XL" version for the X? 57 lbs of flow sounds a lot higher than the BBK for the viii/ix at ~47 lbs of flow. How are the spool characteristics with the BB-X?

A few pre-production units have been sent out but we won't know much until some dyno graphs are posted up.

We were seeing 28psi on our car by 3900 rpm in 3rd gear with the following mods..

CBRD version 1 beta FMIC (vertical design, which I ditched.. because it showed no gains over our horizontal, and it cost too much hee he)

Stock IC pipes... AFE cold air intake
Stock O2 housing, Stock Downpipe
CBRD resonated test pipe and CBRD Catback
DW 800cc injectors...

What was it holding at redline for you? Any power numbers on this setup?

with a 3 port prodrive solenoid I could hold it flat to redline no problem...

but with the mods I had, it was too much boost for 93, and was knocking up top, so i tapered it.

we went from 312whp/322wtq at 26 psi on the stock turbo, to 372whp/338 wtq at 27 tapering to 24 on the BBX...

CB

using the same boost table that I used on the GT3076R.... It made 5.5 more psi on our car.... and spiked to 32psi.... so that was a good sign

You are on a mustang dyno right? Whats a stock X dyno on your dyno? Or whoever's dyno you used?

That's pretty close to being as low as the Buschur/STM mustang dynos so a good sign!

we have had buschurs own evo X on our dyno, and it read slightly lower here, BUT it was warmer when it dynoed here so I think they are almost dead nuts..

and I think similar or almost right on top of what you see from GST motorsports!!

You're using the stock turbine housing on the BB-X right? So that makes sense, it should spool up faster/higher given the same boost table.
