CBRD BB-X turbo update... and products again!
We were seeing 28psi on our car by 3900 rpm in 3rd gear with the following mods..
CBRD version 1 beta FMIC (vertical design, which I ditched.. because it showed no gains over our horizontal, and it cost too much hee he)
Stock IC pipes... AFE cold air intake
Stock O2 housing, Stock Downpipe
CBRD resonated test pipe and CBRD Catback
DW 800cc injectors...

with a 3 port prodrive solenoid I could hold it flat to redline no problem...
but with the mods I had, it was too much boost for 93, and was knocking up top, so i tapered it.
we went from 312whp/322wtq at 26 psi on the stock turbo, to 372whp/338 wtq at 27 tapering to 24 on the BBX...

using the same boost table that I used on the GT3076R.... It made 5.5 more psi on our car.... and spiked to 32psi.... so that was a good sign

the turbos are being used by two west coasters... one car is running well, but hasnt seen the dyno yet...
the other had some issues with a few things (installation error for one) and the turbo was sent back to us for examination to make sure there are no issues there...
more to come...
our parts are being produced... the intercooler cores were custom made, as we didnt feel any of the cores available to us were the right ones... the garrett cores had too short of a charge path and were too thick... and the others just wouldnt cut it..
So... we designed our own, and are having them produced... the end tanks have been fabbed, and the ic pipes are being completed now
next is the stock turbo tubular manifold... and TAK33RB full tubular turbo kit
cheers

ima FINALLY goin in on the dyno next week to see what numbers i can put down with this turbo.....its been crazy here and i just actually finished up the tune on the car a lil over a week ago and ima now having to wait for shops to open so i can hit up the dyno..im excited to see what it does
I know it's entirely too early to be talking about "show more test results" so patience must be exercised. I will say that I'm interested in price as it compares to other competitors as I'm in the process of doing a 2.3L build (2003 EVO VIII) and would like to stay stock-frame in my turbo of choice.
