I have mentioned my thoughts on the new X. From just reading of car rags, it seems Mitsubishi is planning on the use of a Chrysler based platform, not only that, but I just feel that Mitsubishi, without a real Luxory sports division may plan on converting our beloved Rally Car to a mere Luxory Sport car like a IS300. The hint of a longer wheelbase, wider stance, and an automatic kinda hint at that. I feel they may try to globalize the name Evolution in a way that is not Rally based as it is now. I feel that with the poor showings in the Rally curcuit this year and in the past couple of years, they may try to creat a new image. Who Knows. I am a WRC fan, thus enjoy Rally machines, regardless who makes them. I have always like the chiseled lines of the EVO vs. the rounded other makes. I am glad I picked up a IX when I did, I feel we may all be dissapointed in the X. Hate to say it, but think about it....how can Mits survive on the EVO's alone? TIme will tell.....Take Care all..............Again, buy one now, because I feel the Rally in the Rally car may be on its way out the window................at least for us here in the USA. Later Guys and Gals

The new engine is supposedly goign to share a common aluminum block that Chrysler Hyundai and Mitsu have all been co designing.
But other then the actual block the engine heads and so forth will be independently designed by each prospective manufactuer. Atleast thats what Iv read from several different sources.
And honestly a few of dodges engine havent been to bad i.e. 6.5 liter Hemi in the 300C and the 6.1 Liter Viper engine in the CTS-V, and the engines that have lead to those current models.
