For some reason its growing on me. Change the color though, Black would be excellent. There were some Photochops around where someone changed it to black and it looks real nice. And... get rid of those rims. Those things are hideous.

i wonder in the usdm model will get the S-AWC?
I hope so. They have to realize that US consumers want all opitions too.

Hey Axel - I thought you said my idea sucked. Yours looks very similar but even more toned down. Granted it looks like you're a better photoshopper but mine was just a quickie to show how it might look. Anyway, I do like your base Lancer proposal. Maybe mine could be the Ralliart

Hi Amax... Sorry I was too abrupt in my earlier comment. (you were messing with my holy grail, the EVO X... lol). I was disagreeing with your desire to "tone down" the EVO X, not the base Lancer or Ralliart. I absolutely agree that the base model should not have the same radical front. I'm sure the EVO X front will be one of the "love it or hate it" features. I'd guess performance oriented drivers would be more apt to like the aggressiveness, distinctiveness, and brutal appearance of it, whereas non-performance drivers might see it more like you described it as a "gaping front (that) looks atrocious".

The front of this design greatly appeals to me... it is one of the most radical on the road. It is not just some streamlined "pretty" front. To me it represents the seriousness of purpose of this car. The sides and rear of the EVO X aren't really aggressive enough to suit my tastes... they look too similar to many cars out there, but they're not bad. I'm also much prefer a 2-door 2+2 version in looks (like the blue photoshop), but that won't happen. All-in-all, I think the design is fantastic and will give me many years of spirited driving and showing off a great looking car.

no problem axel. Actually the front end is growing on me a bit. It's a bit like a fighter plane. The side view/overall shape looks a bit like your car the TSX. Your two-door version is pretty impressive although I would elongate it a tad.

I wonder if the link above is still alive there is a video in there (in Japanese though) explaining how it works.

Basically, IIRC, SAWC =
1. ACD as we all know it
2. SAYC
3. Active Steering = assisted steering during turn-in?
4. Active Brake Control = I think brake is applied to wheels that are slipping to maximize traction
5. Roll Control Suspension = probably something like Merc's active body control (???)

Watching the video probably gives you a better idea on how things work.

One worrying thing is, it seems to take the fun out of driving

Wow, I really hope we get that sawc. The comparison on the turns is crazy.

+2 on this. I like the blue coupe, if it had the orig hood. To my own surprise I actually dig that hatchback looking version, its a little too squatty but I like it nonetheless. I really like the original bumper pillar, I like the contrast of the color on the red. I hope this car doesn't change much, I'm saving for one now.
