Why do we get watered down versions of the original car! Our IX MR is essentially a sheep in wolf's clothing relatively speaking. I wonder if MMNA will sell the undiluted JDM IX MR here as some sort of special edition or maybe as an EVO 9.5 MR. That'd be nice and I'd really consider trading up for that instead of a X.

This has to be one of the dumbest posts I've read. Almost everyone on these forums mods there evos. Do you not pay any attention? People buy the evo and not the sti because of it's ability to mod.

Who the heck cares! All this tunning and modding is coming down to is basically a pissing contest. It not about the cars anymore sadly, now it about telling that guy in the STi that his car is crap because it can't pull as much HP as your 4g. Big frickin' deal.

and then there are people like you... thats great if you remain stock but that just defeats the purpose of gettin an evo. its a "tuner" car. you tune it and mod it. i dunno bout you but IMO, some stock parts on the evo really SUCK. such as the bov, exhaust, stock ecu settings, clutch and more... its made stock the way it is so that it passes emissions laws and so it doesnt compete with american muscle cars on the US market.

stock evo's have a huge power potential if you mod it, so thats why people do, tahts why people get the evo, to mod it.

as far as what i've read about the concept X, its going to be a racers and tuners nightmare. and it wont be built on its rally roots like the first 9 evos are.

Wow about the whole it looks like this and this and this. Guess what? Every car looks like another car in some way if you really focus on it. Overall this car is a very fresh design.

That's your purpose and not mine, let's leave it at that. I hate argueing with single sighted people such as yourself. Oh and pick up a job application with MMC since apparently you know more about their cars than their engineers do.

I understand that the evo has a large potential for more power, but arguing that people buy them strictly for the reason to modify them is a bit over the top. Many people are happy with their stock performance and keeping their warranty.

Basically I agree that they are hard not to mod, but saying its strictly the reason why they are bought is a bit much.

They will most likely come out with an evo 9.5 before the evo x. They seem to do that with alot of cars before they completely restyle them

I think mitsubishi needs to make the evo more appealing to average buyers, but they only problem is that when you combine performance and styling and luxury into one vehicle, you get a bigger price tag. That might scare away alot of previous potential buyers. Also by adding more comfort packages, you lose some of the race feel. Who knows if it will be the highly acclaimed vehicle it once was
