On the other hand the evo insurance is higher than the sti despite the fact that the wrx is way more expensive to repair. So maybe insurance is higher due to the fact that more people mod the evo. Thus this could eliminate my assumption.

Where are the cup holders? Look next to the ebrake, it looks like a door flips up with cupholders hidin within ( check out acura tsx cup holders)

to all of you who are crying about the fact the evo has been made to a more luxury car. all i have to say is....your stupid! Flat out no questions asked your dumb. Why? Becasue if the Evo X now appeals to more people then that means Mitsubishi will make more money. They are a buisness, there main goal is to become an sucessful company. Also you guys say that the new aluminum block will not be mod friendly, who cares! Most people in this nation like to keep there warrenty, evoM.net is a tuner website which attracts the tuner type evo owners. Im pretty sure that you guys are a small percentage of the evo owners. So if the evo is not mod friendly ( which you guys dont even know! ) then it wont matter because most people who buy cars, like to to keep it stock. The enitire world does not revolve around you.
I mean its cool to say its ugly and not like its interior. Thats a great reason not to buy it, but for the reasons that i stated in the above paragraph you should not dislike it for that.
Overall if you dont like it, dont buy it! And "IF" this model of the Evo and Lancer increase Mitsubishi's sells and profit margin then, you small iota of people who bash it really wont matter huh?

For those few people that hate because they feel (or know) it is going to be better than there VIII or IX. I mean, people can't front all they want, but they know so they make irrational and immature comments to make themselves feel better about there current model evo.
It was reported that it will come w/ a 5spd tranny aswell. Also DSG/SMG is far from crappy, test drive one at a local VW or BMW dealership.
I'm sure a lot of people are thinking this but just don't want to say it, I know i kind of feel this way so I'm going to get it off my chest. Some of us, especially those who have only recently picked up their evo (for me after years and YEARS of earning it both as someone who can afford it and understand enough to drive it) are a bit vexed of now realizing a whole new engine, interior and body style released into a new model.
I'm glad I could get that off my chest and also say this. I'm happy with my car. I'm glad I bought it. for better or for worse, it's best for me know. Also, as we all know, the Evo X isn't even't going ot be in a show room for quite sometime, by the time it does hit, some may want to trade up and some will keep there moded VIII's and IX's that are most likely than not going to pushing out more power and torque that a stock X anyway.

Honestly, this is the only time I have to agree MMC/MMNA needs to become a 'sellout' or they will fault in the car market. They will have to appeal to a broader audience and if that means the lancer/lancer evolution needs to incorporate some things to do it, than by all means DO IT. Mitsubishi is still in the red and has a long way to go if they ever want to step foot out of it. The Evo X is the right direction.

Doesn't mean it's REAL or production. Simply means they had a car there that was legal to drive on the roads when they did photo shoots and driving demonstrations.
