Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
That car is freakin SICK! It is so bold that it may not satisfy everyone's taste, but damn! I never thought I would say this, but I would drop my VIII in a heartbeat for that thing.
I love the way dual exhaust looks. I know it's a break in the mold for the Evo, but it looks so damn mean.
Oh, and this is the EVO X. Dr. Evo clearly knows what he's doing and I am willing to be money that this will be better than the previous Evos, 4G63-lacking and everything.

Thnak you. I don't care how short on cash Mitsu is. Dr Evo is probably one of the highest paid engineers in the biz, I bet he hasn't been asked to take a pay cut because times are tough, and I bet he ain't lookin' for a job with Nissan, Honda or Toyota.
People who think mitsu is going under dont really know the truth... Mitsu makes parts for almost ANY car... My bosses 996 tt has mitsu parts! Cars, planes,tv's, forklifts, parts, and my favorite TUNA, thats right in the store there is a mistubishi tuna. Every other car company needs mistu. They are not going under, if anything they are taking over lol. Just their car division was lacking but now they seem to have steped up their A game. We will see what happens in the future.
Well, not quite true. Every other car maker needs Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Electric. They are OEM suppliers for almost every car maker there is.
Mitsubishi Motors is a seperate entitiy, and they could be shut down if they continue to lose money.

but they get money from the others they pump millions it to the car side just to keep them a float. Out lead tech here, PAT was a Mistu Corprate tech for years flying all over the world for mistu, traning... he has a whole closet full of books on the evo i wish i had lol. He being that far up saw a lot of what went on, they are not goin down. Pat is a great guy and has built many 2.3 2.4 motors and does an has never had one blow.
wow i am almost speachless. 2007-2008 is gonna be a very interesting year for imports. i am jus waiting to see what everyone has to offer. i think EVO X looks better than GTR what u guys think?

Oh I agree, there is a lot of pride involved with Japan's oldes car marque. I just don't like how they've always semed to treat the car business as a hobby instead of being serious about it. But then, when you are a comglomerate that does fighter jets, supertankers, nuclear plants, sattelites, etc I mean...damn, I guess its bound to happen.
With all their corporate partners, you'd think Mitsubishi would be able to provide spaceage level tehcnology in their cars for far less then their competition. But there's probably some old school Japanese Yakuza Samurai bloodpact that keeps them from doing that.
And I mean no disrespect to the Japanese, I have the utmost respect, just a little levity as I am coming to the end of another ardurous 11 hour work day.

Evo X is way more aggressive and in my opinion better looking then the GT-R. I work for NNA and the GT-R is going to be very expensive. Expect it to be priced between the Z06 and 911 Turbo, so $80-$90K. Making it out of reach for a lot of people. Also there is only going to be around 1300 available when it comes out so since there is roughly 1500 nissan dealers nation wide, I'd expect a hell of a mark up. As for performance, engine specs, and everything else about the car, it's hush hush. It'd better be one hell of a car for that kind of a price tag and exclusivity. Me, I'll spend my hard earned Nissan dollars on an Evo X and be just as happy for a fraction of the price.
