Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
that's the nature of the car business, new things come out when other styles run their cycle...
the Prject X has been no secret and has been around for well over a year now, even before the IX came out... so everyone knew a new Evolution was on the way...

why wouldn't the orange glow make production, they night do like scion haha
but seriously the gauge cluster reminds me of the 350z and looks wayy to over exagerated, honestly the interior is worst in my opinion then the ix

i seriously like the interior. I dont care about the F&F glow but that is hott. Trust me to attract buyers here, mitsu has to try new stuff and i give them credit. Most of us here are premiere evo owners that like the "clean" evo look. They have to add stuff like that to attract more buyers and i for all like wat they did ALOT.
If the "ambiance" lighting makes it to production I hope they really tone it down A LOT.
A friends A6 has some very nice very faint white lighting in the footwells and on the armrests. It has to be really dark outside just to tell it's there.
My new 335 has a few nice orangey colored LED that shine down from the headliner that barely illuminate the interior at night. It is just enough that you can see everything not blinding like that stuff they had in the X. I'm hoping that was just for illustration purposes and will be seriously toned down for production.
The rest of the interior wasn't bad in my opinion. I wish there was a din or double din sized radio opening instead of the oh so last gen Eclipse crappy radio setup but, that to may just be for show. I wonder if getting the Nav would cure that problem. It looked to replace all that junk with a double din sized screen.
I was really liking the seats. Too bad they probably won't make it production with that pattern.
I also liked the information display between the two gauges.

wow
well these pics ease my mind a bit. The pics of the engine make me happy. I dont like the automatic tranny though! I love the wheels and the interior is tight but thats about it. The whole grille needs to be filled with an intercooler.
The seats are production aside from the suede inserts on the seat face. The concept also had orange glow neon to highlight the interior. That's just for the show and it won't make it to production.
