Also, it might shift faster but that doesn't mean it will be faster. The DSG GTI for instance, which everyone claimed was faster than the MT, is not turning in the best times at the strip. With a good driver the MT guys are getting better times, though that may change when the US gets launch control.
EDIT: This is completely OT but thought I could help by pointing this out and saying that if the EVO X doesn't get some sort of launch control for its auto. then there will be a lot of disappointed drivers that like to go fast in straight lines
Looking better and better, but it's got to be a six speed manual for the ultimate experience. We finally get the super acd. As much as I love my IX, more and more I am wanting this X...
'They' reckon a 0-60 time of LESS than 4.5 secs. Holy smoke! Go mitsu

M3 is an SMG setup that is NOT a good representation of what he's trying to do(if you drive an SMG car, they shift slowly and it feels like the tranny is going to fall out). GTI/GLI/TT/A3 would be some of the easiest cars to get to test drive to experience the DSG system.
USDM GTI's do not get the staged launch control that they do in Europe. Also, when on an actual TRACK (not a drag strip), even the USDM GTI's that are DSG equipped are significantly faster than their MT6 counterparts.
