Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
The X is nice, my only beefs with the car is the RX-8 looking fender vents on the front and the rear end looks odd where the tail lights are located and how they are sized, I think they just need to be bigger because there is too much bulky space...other than that I love it...especially the interior, Volkswagen is going to have a hard time selling cars due to interior asthetics if this comes out looking like the prototype
The Audi RS8 is amazing...they elevation tested them here in Flagstaff and I drove next to one for awhile and it sounded as nice as it looks
The models next to the Lamborghini are amazing
Any sightings or talk about the Corvette SS/Z07/Blue Devil? If you aren't aware of the projected names it is supposed to be supercharged with numbers in the 650/600 range...I would love them to make something even faster and better interior wise than the Z06 before my Dad buys one of those...then when I finish my work with the Evo I can still spank his 100k Chevy...
nice pics btw...looks like a great time, next year I am doing Geneva free room and show passes with another forums owner

great photo shop skills, probably the most clean and tidy one yet.
the advan x however just looks way too busy. the VII looks much more suited.
can't wait to see you do a white evo X with polished lip rims street version!

There are 3 axes to move that extra weight. fore, aft, left, right and up and down. Increased power can help overcome one of those... acceleration. What about braking... turning... and suspension concerns? A heavier car with more power may be able to keep up under acceleration but will lose out under braking, will take more to suspend and damper... very simply more weight is BAD when it comes to performance.
Not knowing what the X will have in terms of power or mass we can only speculate. But still... more weight is bad... very bad. BTW... an F-body (read: Camaro) is about 33-3500 pounds.

Huge Question About The X
Ok, probably going to get lots of crap for this. but i don't care. I'm asking this because if i ever got a X it would be for my daily driver.
With that said. Does anyone know if the X is going to have Cruise Control?
cause if it doesn't, that'll probably be the breaker in my decision to get this car.
let the flaming begin.

The tercel is stock everything except 235mm wide front slicks, and I removed an additional 200lbs of weight from the car, so it really only weighs 1800lbs =) Low weight = fast turning car. I'm sure the tercel would be ALOT faster if it had a better suspension (it has a freaking solid axle rear!) and bigger tires but as the way it is now, even on street tires, I am able to take corners much faster than the Evo can. The 200 extra lbs on the Evo X is not going to do it any good!
1 - There is no way in hell you are getting 235 tires to fit on 5.5" rims.
2 - There is no way a car with 235 R-Compounds on the front and 185 street tires on the rear is going to handle good at all.
This is all even with a massive 200lbs removed from the car.
