Why? Honda, Toyota, and Nissan build the overwhelming majority of their cars in America...nothing wrong with them. I'd have no problem with them building the X in America. Mexico though and we have a problem.

Maybe so but Honda builds the S2000 and the NSX in Japan. Nissan builds 350Zs and G35s and most likely the Skyline in Japan. Toyota has no real sports cars, but like Honda they build their hybids and most Lexus' in Japan.

Maybe is okay for the normal average cars to be built here, but it seems the Japanese still deem it necessary to build their most technically advanced cars in the motherland.

Mitsubishi Lancer/Lancer Evo X will probably be built in the Mizushima,Japan plant ( http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/cor...e/e/japan.html ) as the new Outlander/Airtek is already being build there (which is based upon the new Lancer platform) and the current generation Lancer/Lancer Evo is also assembled there.

Mitsubishis Illinois plant already is producing Eclipse, Endaveour, and Galant based upon Platform USA and I don't think that plant would be able to handle two different platforms at the same time (mostly due to the cost of setting up the all new platform) and I don't think Mitsubishi in it's current financial situation will build another plant in US/Canada any time soon.

I would not buy any Japanese car thats not built in Japan...same goes for any other country...

What I find really ironic is alot of these VWs are sold as "German made/engineered" and they are freakin made in Mexico(the Jetta/Beetle/etc)

That's pretty stupid reasoning. Isn't there a recall out right now for coolant hoses on the 05 Evo?

Many 4Runners, CR-V's and all those Step Vans are made in Japan.

By saying "those 2" means you obviosuly didn't read the links I provided as they mention way more then two vehicles. If you research any Japanese manufacturer you will come up with many more cars then that, I just stopped there because the numbers are overwhelming and that your statement is grossly false.
