Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
im in the generation of evo lovers where it will be nearly impossible to find even an evo9. illa dmit the paddle shifting is the only reason i would not buy one. not as fun. i just hope standard tranny is offered as an option. servicing the evo would become more expensive and more complex. and how many places can u go that kno how to fix a paddle shifter. it will b more of a pain in the A** than it would anything else.
I dono,
if the car looks like that then it's hot and sexy, but as long as it's labeled Dodge and not mitsu. The Evo X is just pure crap, to me. It's dodge and mitsu together which just dont work

The car is called the evolution for a reason. A SMG tranny IS superior to a regular manual. If you don't like it, don't opt for it. I highly doubt the SMG will be the only tranny offered.
I want paddle shifting, used to have E46 M3 SMG. However, whilst the claimed change is 80ms, this was only at redline on full throttle, and also the time that torque is lost at the wheels was more like 250-300ms on datalogs I've seen, so not really quicker than a manual. Can keep both hands on the wheel and have a lazy auto mode, and also the changes are consistent though. DSG seems quicker?
