yeah this whole merger was totally moronic... there are like 15 different conversations going on...
the threads were all in the "Future" section, so why they were merged is beyond me...

if i get one i will be getting the auto (paddle shifters) for one specific reason. Being that my evo 8 makes over 600whp....and this car will be my DD. I do NOT want to modify it. I want my warrenty. I want stock. i want reliability. So, if i get the auto i will be way more hesitant to modify the car. cause if you break that tranny.......................TAKE THAT WALLET!!!!
There are two kinds of Evo owners. Ones that know how to work on one and ones that don't. The ones that do aren't liking the flipped manifold setup, the open deck block, the added weight, and the fancy DSG type trans. That doesn't mean it's a deal breaker in terms of buying one if the Evo X performs, which I am happy to wait and see by driving the crap out of my IX for now!
+200 pounds....
"The chassis is more rigid in bending and torsion has improved more than 50 percent, but it's unfortunately also about 200 pounds heavier."

I agree on AYC, but also think that if anyone is that concerned about 200lbs, then just ditch the backseat, stereo system, and maybe get lighter rims, and lose 30lbs yourself, I dunno
Mitsu is on point for the market of people who will drive these everyday AND the car will still be able to be tuned, etc. I think a lot of people will be surprised by the X, both the performance crowd and the people who will leave it stock. Mitsu can sell these to both crowds, even with the extra 200lbs - and that's what they care about.

Evo X Launch Question?????
This may be a dumb question, but how do you launch a car with F1 paddles?? Do you have to power brake it or rev it to 6,000 and hit the paddle?? Is the power band going to be different for the manual than for the other?? Maybe this was already addressed but I couldn't find it.
