Just out of curiosity who thinks Mitsu is owned by an American Company? And what American company do you believe owns Mitsu?

Is it not true that Daimler shares production with MMC as well as holds major of its voting stock?

DCX no longer owns stock in MMC. Far as production, they do share GEMA engines.

Maybe not on paper and in raw numbers, but haven't they always been considered pretty close in performance and aftermarket tunability in Japan? I don't expect Mitsu to just step aside and let Nissan take the crown in the US market, especially when they've got a headstart here.

Without a specific launch-control parameter, your AMT is letting out the clutch as soon as you start pressing down the accel pedal.
actually, it is a DSG not a SMG and you do not need launch control like a ferrari, probably more like the VW/Audi. Heel-toeing is a term not appropriately used for this launch-you need a clutch to shift and heel toe the gas and brake pedals. this "power braking" is going to be similar to an automatic transmission "power braking" but to prevent the bogging down of the engine, you have to release the foot brake immediately as you dump the gas pedal.

ahem, ghostrider you say, show us your evo and say who is the ghost rider eh?

how about trying this link to more or less show you how to do it?

Mitsubishi probably didn't want Daimler Chrysler to interfere with their beloved Evolution design, however Chrysler was interested in the design and all the hype this car has generated. They couldn't resist. Now what do we have? A bloated and heavy, non performance oriented, automatic transmission having, PIECE OF ****. This is the beginning of the end for Mitsubishi performance. The only performance car Mitsubishi even has right now IS THE EVO, and now it won't even be able to compete with its arch enemy, the Subaru STI. Sorry for the rant.
Oh my goodness another whiner. IT WILL HAVE A MANUAL OPTION! READ! It will be totally moronic if they just offer DSG, which is not a regular slushbox with a torque converter. Look at this link about DSG/SMT.http://auto.howstuffworks.com/dual-c...ansmission.htm
