Evo X updates none 54kbps friendly
Well.. just got a magazine that includes the following writeups on Evo X ..
Inside includes video on the Evo X introduction ..
Evo X looks like a base lancer ..
That was the reason why I got an Evo instead of a WRX .. so that not every ***** can change their bonnet and become a wannabe

Well, I don't know exactly how close the X trans will be to the DSG but there are certain things you can do to launch a dual clutch trans. (If Mitsubishi actually comes out with a dual clutch). I don't know, I very confused right now. I'm just waiting to see what kind of trans it actually comes with. Then I'll wait a year and see how everyone likes it before I consider buying one over a MT on an EVO. But here's a video of launching a certain "dual clutch auto/manual transmission"

Who cares if it looks like a base lancer or not, you can still tell the difference by the wide fenders. Plus in the past they've made body kits to imitate the evo 8/9 for the base lancer anyways. The base 08 lancer looks great and the X looks even better, but what really makes the difference and has made people go by the EVO is not because it looks different from the base lancer, but because of the performance...Atleast I hope!?!
BTW, what manual transmission will it have, 5/6 speed, does it say in the mag?

Mitsubishi wants the Evo to look as much like the base Lancers as possible because it helps to sell more regular lancers. Only cars guys will know the difference either way.

I have read in other threads 6speed
After im done paying this car its going to be a 2003 M3 for me. The new evo looks more complicated then the previous models. The engine looks like the engine in the SRT4. We are not going to talk about the new tranny.
Err....the Evo looks like the Lancer because, well....it IS a LANCER! Hence LANCER Evolution! Geez...when will some people get a clue?
Do you not realize that the Evo came AFTER the Lancer? I'm sick of hearing people saying 'The Evo looks like a base Lancer etc. etc.'...well, in that case, buy a Murcielago because it won't be mistaken for a 'base' Gallardo....
We drive an econobox with extra spot welds, a reworked engine and some different body panels....whoopdeefrickingdoo! Don't delude yourselves into thinking it's a supercar because it's not......
BTW, only the Evo VII-IX are markedly different from the Lancer in terms of head/taillights and general body styling (compare the Evo to the Lancer Ralliart). Previous models were very very similar...maybe an extra foglight in the front bumper, bigger wing, new front bumper etc.....but not to the extent it is now...
For one, I'm kinda glad that they're moving back to making these cars more homogeneous looking....
