Lancer Evolution X News, Info, Pics, etc... | [ALL THREADS MERGED]
They're not in the works cars, but there are some showing up here and there for the Rallys. For example, Giles Panizi (I think it was him) showed up in a Mitsu for Rally Monte Carlo along w/ another car, but if you look at the teams page on WRC.com they're not listed...I think they're maybe targeting next year? I hope so.
At anyrate, the more and more I look at this car the more I start to like it. I think though we all have to see it in person before we can give it a
or
. The interior blows though IMO, especially those seats and the neon light thats supposed to show up.
On the brighter side I look forward to the AYC and paddle shifters <insert devious grin here>
Overall me likey.

I still dont like it. The fender flares arent big enough. I dont like the trapezoid grille/bumper-cut-out combo, I dont like the shape of the headlights and the interior is whack.
It looks like a mazda 6 on steroids that was cut off at the steering wheel and replaced with the front of an older galant on many, many different drugs.

I don't like the fact it looks like the tach is not center mounted.
So sounds like Evo X will be heavier as expected

I remember there's a lot of non-believers that the weight of X will be higher than
current IXs... but sounds like Evo is following the exact footsteps of BMW M3s..
HP however will increase to 320hp from IX's 289hp... but doesn't IX already
dyno'ed at close to 300 flywheel hp?
Oh well, lets hope all the "Active" alphabet soup will be worth wait...

The chassis is more rigid in bending and torsion has improved more than 50 percent, but it's unfortunately also about 200 pounds heavier. Mitsubishi engineers hope that an all-new turbocharged inline-4 will provide enough power to cope with the extra weight.

I love the idea of twin exhausts but why did Mitsubishi put them so close to each other? Did Mitsubishi want to copy the Mazdaspeed 6? It looked much better on the original Concept X. Mitsubishi should look at Audi for dual exhausts and their placements. I wish the 20" rims were part of a wheel and tire package. They look so perfect on this car. Its too bad they won't make production. I am looking forward to the release of this fine Evo.
