Anyone know the specs on the car yet?

I think it looks great!

Will be getting one of these over the new STI anyday... (If the STI is going to be only hatch that is!)

how can anyone love this car??? it looks almost exactly like the base lancer, which dont get me wrong it looks ok but the evo 8 and 9 look nothing like the lancer on the outside and now its hard to tell them apart from the side. the only thing that i think looks good r the headlights but the rear it UGLY as hell. and i know one spec on it and that is that its a couple hundred pounds heavier than the 9 or 8 so the hp gains probably wont be noticable. sorry to rant but i hate it, although it does look best in black

so what do u think about the 1/4 miles
yes the S-AWD is awsome but again the weight is your enemy here
I suspect the Evo X to weigh just under 3,500 lbs. due to the new chassis (based on the 07 Lancer platform), S-AWC goodies, 7 airbags, etc. However, as reported by Car and Driver Online (http://www.caranddriver.com/carnews/...-x.html?al=92), horsepower and torque are NOT expected to reach 300. It appears power will land in the 290-295 range. This is a bit of a disappointment but does basically tie the expected power for the new STi - which will ONLY BE OFFERED IN HATCHBACK FORM! At least we won't be stuck with a five door wagon like the new Subies.

For now, and unless more engine performance tweaks are made before production, the Evo X will likely be a tick or two slower than the Evo IX. Hopefully the freshened interior trimmings, S-AWC, and better turbo response time in the lower RMP bands will satisify Evo X owners.

Personally I can't wait for the new Evo. I've been first on my local dealer's wait list since March 4, 2006. I just hope the price doesn't swell over $35,000....

'Standard EVO X models will be more expensive than the outgoing IX, with entry-level 300bhp variants costing more than 42,000 Euros.'

If you read through the article, it actually gives a ballpark figure of how much the base model will cost. Hopefully 40,000 Euros isn't indicative of how much it'll start out here 'coz if so, I ain't buying one.

Last gen lancer / evo's look very much alike.
