Sports coupe? Hardly, the Corvette is actually a true sports car. I dont think they are in the same market either. You missed the point. As you correctly stated, americans prefer autos. So wouldnt an auto Evo sell well in the US? Or do I need to state how much better BMW automatics sell than manuals, because thats closer to the Evos market...

I hate to burst anyones bubble, but the Evo VII was offered in Japan and Europe with a TRUE auto, no dual clutch setup. It was know as the GT-A. Evo wagons were also sold with autos.

For the record, average Corvette owner age is the 40-50 range.

I was just about t post this... The EVO did come with an automatic.. And it sold well over in Japan and England (I think thats where they sold it).. Even still, it was a limited production vehicle. Also, the Vette is NOT just aimed at the American market.. That car is sold all over the globe. And LOVED all over..

There WILL be a manual offered with the EVO X.. Maybe not right up front, but it will.. Even if it does, I believe (opinion) that the yucky, disgusting, nobody wants it, paddle shifters will most likely smack the crap out of the manual around the track..

Like I've said in previous posts. Mits will not destroy the car that made the company, just to make old people happy.. (no offense to the older guys out there).. They hear our cries, and are making the car BETTER... The EVO is evolving.. There is a replacement for displacement.. It's called technology...

M6 corvette owner and im only 25 lol

the people buying auto corvettes are A) women, and B) lazy guys who never track their car.. yet the auto produces more consitant launches. The fastest street legal car in the world is a TT ligenfelter and its an automatic. 0-60 in 1.6 seconds sub 10sec. The paddle shifters will be much more advanced then the ones offered on the vette so feel very lucky.

Its funny how all the IX drivers are in denial( as they just shelled out cash for teh inferior) while the VIII drivers are looking to upgrade. The new evo will be a vastly superior sports car.. better performance out of the showroom is something to look forward too. All the fastest evos are all 03-04s too.. so I guess in a way, the evo IX ruined the evo in the same way the evo X has.

Mandatory manual transmission proficiency won't happen for a lot of reasons: it's silly, most people don't want/need it, most people don't have a manual to learn on or test with, and requiring it wouldn't result in better/safer drivers.

Tens of thousands of people die in car accidents in the US every year. We could easily (not necessarily inexpensively) improve driver training/testing/enforcement and reduce that number significantly. But the hue and cry from the public at the extra costs/efforts/impediments to their "right" to drive would send the politicians scurrying to undo any reforms.

When it comes right down to it, people are willing to accept those tens of thousands of deaths, and until they they aren't, the situation won't improve.

How many people are dissapointed with the X and want...

to cry like a bunch of babies?
Seriously no one has driven an X. No one knows the potential of the new motor ect. everyone wants to see Mitsubishi sell cars, but ***** because they are trying to get a bigger range of buyers for thier cars.
Why don't you start *****ing about the XI why you're at it cuz you know about as much about it as you do about the X. I mean really should we combine all the "*****" threads and sticky it at the top?

Considering how little we all know about the X, surely there is equal credibility and validity to posts by members who claim they like it and and those who claim they do not. So, do we sticky the "i like the X" threads too?

Yeah so I did a search on you and most your posts are in OT, great contribution.
And I clicked one thread other than this you responded in...keep in mind this was at random and the only one I looked at

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=249079

are you an a$$ in all you posts or was it just coincidence?

All I was speaking was the truth unless you know more about the X then anyone else in here. If so please share or go back to OT.
