Hey fellas I also went to the NY AUTO SHOW and there was no MR there. I spoke to 2 sales reps on whether it was coming and the guy said that he doesn't no anything about the MR coming.

I then focused my frustration on a female rep and she seemed to know a little more than the guy. She said that since Mitsu is now releasing the RS they have to give them some time to sell. She said it looks like sometime next year fall before the MR would show up here. Which makes kind of sense when you think about it.

The RS came after a year of the GSR being released here. Even though it doesn't necessarily have to be that way the MR might hurt the RS's potential in sales if it is released now or this year for that matter.

But what ever, according to M3lachsilber this is all he say,she say until Mitsu gives us the press release.

Until then just keep saving my fellow non evo owners (and current owners who are willing to take the hit) By the time the MR gets here I will have a sizable down-payment, maybe 20k or more

Has anyone else noticed that the link to the Mitsu site with the MR pic that says it goes on sale this fall is copywritten 2003? The latest infro from that site is Dec 2003, hmmm? I wonder if the MR is coming to the US or not, I sure hope so.

 

I usually don't like to start flames or anything but...that is jus one hell of a retarded comment...honestly, just because its a mistu that doesnt' mean you shouldn't buy it if it's over 20k...I just think that the car's worth 30k because of the performance and everything else it provides...i'd NEVER buy a luxury car, let alone a Lotus...i'd rather get something like Camry or something cuz I don't need luxury car...

retarded or not , if i had 20 grand to put down on a car i would be looking into the 35 grand plus category. Still if you read this post its just about hearsay. I mean how much info can you have on the MR other then specs which you can easily find and pictures which is easily attainable. This is just one big repost after repost after repost. example. I mean do you really need 52 pages . You just need to see a spec sheet, what it looks like and how it performs. what more is their to ask really.

Hey look, I didn't want to flame you, but the 20k comment was rediculous. I agree wholeheartedly with you about this thread being one repost after another, but hey we are enthusiasts and we are very interested in what is coming next. It's the nature of the beast I guess. If I wasn't such an enthusiast I'd say that if you had 20k for a down, then absolutely spend it elsewhere. But you, being an EVO owner, should at least be able to agree that this car is worth at least twice as much as it costs from a strictly performance view. Creature comforts and daily driveability...maybe it's worth less than a beach cruiser, but that's not what I, and I'm sure quite a few others, bought the car for. hehehe. Do you track the car batty? If you don't, just take it out once and you'll fall in love with it hehehe.

 

I mean maybe i went alittle overboard Ricardon but seriously this MR thing is beat to death. I mean people are posting like its a whole new car. Looks are the same and its lighter.Its got beefed up HP numbers and the ACD and six speed. I mean the STI has the ACD and 6 six speed and dont mean much when comparing it the EVO. i mean as a daily driver you really going to notice these changes. imean from peoples responses i would think the MR was like a 500hp redesigned body etc... but its not. I mean i was reading a thread about someone doing a new gauge cluster. and someone responded, "yeah looks cool but wait till the MRs comes out!" LOL. I mean I have happy with my EVO dont really care what comes out next. With future turbo upgrades, Coilovers on my EVO and whoever decides this upgrades path will be untouchable. I just think the EVO General Forum is a mess. They should create a new forum. FUTURE OF MISTUBUSHI or something so i dont have to shift through this junk. Seriously i hope the car does come here that way parts for us EVO owners will go down in price hopefully!
