Evolution MR - Mitsubishi Racing [MERGED]
Why does someone elses poor decision bother you.. Atleast you can rest better knowing I've been watching a stash grow for the past year and in 8 months will take half of it to the dealership and keep the other half to hold onto and watch grow as a just in case buffer.. rest easy...

What do you mean?
Do people selling there evo's flood the market, and lower resale value?

I don’t know why we have a%#** ole people on these forums???. The guy is just telling us that the MR is coming that’s why we have these forums so we can talk about our cars and future cars. Don’t ask to close the post he did not take a part of yr hard drive. If you don’t want to read it leave him alone. So what if the MR is coming that means more choices for us better customer service and better parts. Some of here think that there EVOS are the best end of story will guess what life develop to better everyday as well as cars and there is nothing u and i can do about it.
Resale Value for the EVO is crap. If you bought it when it first came out you got screwed. Lets say you bought an EVO for 31000 in total now you can get 24k from a trade if that. And 25 for a private seller if that. Man if i was in the market for a MR i would just wait like a year. Mistubushi is one of the worst companies on resale value. EVo is a great car but no resale.
IF THE MR had the SUper AYC i would sell mine because that will crush anything on track. a AYC car is 5 steps ahead of one without it .maybe the EVO 9 will. Ill have to wait and see!

I suppose a 6 speed gearbox, bigger turbo and a lighter weight are no big deal either right?
Damn I'm glad I have just been saving my money and waiting to see what happens, get rewarded with an MR in another 6 months

I've heard rumors about the Evo stopping sale in 2005 because Mitsu wants to concentrate on the Eclipse again. I don't blame them. Putting out the same HP #'s with the same engine would be a dumb move to have two. Fairly credible rumors.
Don't be such a dick batty...people who want to dream should be let to dream. No one ever **** on your dreams when you were wanting something I'm sure. And if they did, be a bigger man and help people with their dreams, not discourage them.
It's Offical MR coming to US. From CEO's mouth
According to Autoweek
"If you read our report on Mitsubishi’s 2004 Evolution MR (AW, Feb. 23), you’re ahead of the curve. None other than Mitsu U.S. chief Finbarr O’Neill confirms the Subaru WRX STi Spec C-fighter will arrive on our shores by fall. The MR (for Mitsubishi Racing) comes with a six-speed manual tranny, active center differential, better medium-to-high-rpm power and substantial weight reductions by using aluminum wherever possible. Look for the U.S. version to start around $31,000."

My hopes are for a Torsen front diff. I would like to have the SAYC also but the Torsen is more important to me.
The JDM MR in GSR trim comes with a front Torsen. Mitsu please keep it for the US market.
