2. Well, sounds like the US seats doesn't fit you if you are sliding around but, i'm saying most of the evo owners are not complaining about sliding around. I have been commited for for having such an awesome stock seat.
3. Good for you that they feel 1000 times better. I am warning people that they probably wounldn't like them due to the narrow width in the way of sholder blades and really feeling the boasters all the time expecially on the legs.
4. Nope haven't driven one. But i personally do not have problems sliding around on our current seats since the boasters are so deep. I find the leg boasters rather annoying and since i do not have a sliding problem I'd prefer to omit that item.

JDM seat fits you better fine. You have to admit that the current US seats are more comfortable, right? And they also fit a wider range of frame sizes and not many people have problems sliding. The US seats are one size fits all and they took the average people and optimize lateral support. I'm sorry to hear that the current seats that came with your car doesn't fit you. For people using their cars only for racing it's a good idea to ditch either seats and get some lighter race buckets.

Well, my opinion is that i like our current seats better. You like the JDM seats cool. I just want people to be aware that the JDM seats are designed for the average Japanese and we all know they are much smaller people.
how can you comment on something that you never tried???? i had those seats for a year and EVERY single person that sat in them said that they were way better than the stock. even Al (who is a lot bigger than i am) had no problems with them and said that they were great. i have owned almost every single aftermarket seat in the past 2 years and comparing the jdm seats to sparco is almost illegal. all you are doing here is scaring people from buying a seat that is one of the best ever and that will be perfect for a daily driver as well as weekend racer. i agree that the jdm seats are not for everybody but they are perfect for a lot of people and they are something that is worth buying if you are not a fat person and want a bit more support.

sorry i missed that one

since you never sat in the jdm seats i might as well let you know that they are EXACTLY the same as the usdm but with better bolsters. they feel like an oem seat because they ARE an oem seat and they are just as firm as the usdm ones. i don't know where you are from but if you ever come to the NY area i will be more than happy to get you together with Paul so you ca try them out for yourself.

You've asked if i drove in a car with JDM seats and the answer is no. I've been in an EVO VII GSR so I'm well aware of the seats provided.

You guys are talking about seats! For what? IF seats are such a great concern, go get a luxury car. Some dude talks about cup holder on the other thread, and now seats! You guys got to be kidding me...EVO enthusiast aye...You know what! The engine, suspension, brakes, ACD, and so and so are not why people get an evo...buyers go for the interior. Great!

silversurfer: If you sat in Snir's seats you would know why they are talking about seats.
USDM Evo seats are junk, they are made for people you're describing and they are not enthusiasts. They are fat SOB. Unfortunately we couldn't choose when we were buying so now people have to spend $$$ to get the JDM seats.
JDM seats are the real deal. They give you support down low where you need it.
I have long legs and during hard cornering my feet are hitting the door or almost shifter just because there's nothing to hold them in place. My *** is OK but feet are going back and forth and it SUCKS.
If you never experienced it, then you either didn't corner hard at all or you're a large person and your legs are locked in place between the door and steering wheel anyway.

haahaha, one more reason why evolutionm is questionable to me as a resource. It's made up of rumors! "Sources- n/a". I thought the aluminum roof is supposed to be 300 lbs lighter !?! that's what EVERYONE says!!! lol
what a joke
I posted that up with the knowledge that the info was not a sure thing. This was just info that was in documents that I received. I thought it would be good to post up so people could get a possible idea of what might be coming.

Rumors will always be rumors until something official is released. Unfortunately, as enthusiasts we can't wait that long and we tend to pry until we can get as much info from people as possible

err, we got tired of discussing the ACD+differentials+6speed+etc. so we had to change the subject to something more exciting

I personally dont think the car is any better, i bet i would still smoke a person in a MR with my '03. So if you guys just want the paint job and the new wheels, then your definitly waisting your money. Mitsubishi does this just to get us youngsters to buy a soo called better or faster car, but they are selling you the same car you have now, with some extra features. 2 Thumbs down from me to Mitsubishi. If they make the MR, better be a different body style to impress me.

dude, you seriously need to reread the specs. if you can't see why the MR is a step up from the viii, there's something wrong. unless...you just want a drag racer, in which case i wonder why you'd buy ANY evo.

i don't even know how to respond to that. if you think that i am talking about the JDM seats because i want the JDM name than you are way off. good seats are a great way to improve both driving position as well as lap times. my point was that even though i have owned almost every aftermarket seat you can buy, the stock JDM ones are still better. now you better go out and try a good set of seats before you come on here and act superior and know it all.

thanks

Check this site. Its odd because some of these features which are standard look optional on 2005 model year evo's.
