ECU loads a generally higher the more power you make. However, you can make power at a certain load, retune, and then make even more power at that same load. All you need to worry about is fuel, timing, knock and AFR.

So only been able to make one minor tweak to my map since last time but brought me up to 188whp and 211wtrq and realized today I am actually hitting 9psi and not 10 so might try to bump that up to 10 and see what I get

If you're holding steady at 9 you might be peaking at 10. At that psi you should be putting down higher numbers, so i'd still work on the tune a little bit first :P I bet theres a little more power to be extracted from even less than 9psi. Whats your exhaust look like? 2.5 and higher from the turbo back?

Be careful about putting to much faith in the VDR formula. Take your Lancer to a real dyno to get a proper number. You might be making more power than VDR is telling you.

Lol yes you are absolutely right. I basically have been using it to to see if the numbers go up or down to see if I am moving in the right direction. It can show a 10whp drop from one run to the next and I cant feel the difference. But yes you are correct I am getting to that point where it will matter the actual numbers. I know my car is making more actual power than it says just do to the fact I dont the know the actual weight although I know its heavier now than before.

So I've been using VDR and I came up with this...

OZ Rally Trans on left with 4th gear, Evo 7 5-speed on right with 3rd gear.

I don't mean to hijack. I just need some help with the VDR program. It seems when I put the specs in I get a tone of horse power. But with the Evo Trans it looks pretty close to where I should be at. Give me some info on this, I'm stuck. lol

Try 3rd gear pull and lower the smoothing factor.
Did you also change the tire specs?

What do you have inputted in for your gear ratios? I have 1.379 for 3rd and 1.030 for 4th and a final of 3.722 with drag coeffeciant set at 0.30. Here is my best at 10psi on the left and best at 5psi on the right, I do all my pulls in third for now. . Didnt do a whole lot of tuning at 5psi and have only tweaked the map once since bumping up to 10psi. Not very impressive I know but gotta start somewhere lol. Have you weighed your car too so you know your exact wieght?

turbo manifold

ok this flange thing is really confusing so let me get this straight before I buy a manifold

in order to use the 4g63 manifold you have to weld a 4g94 flange right?

now do you cut off the 4g63 flange on the manifold, or do you just weld the 4g94 flange on top of the 4g63 flange so you can put the manifold in place?

I need help because I'm gettting ready to buy the manifold next week after I purchase my housing.

also do you heat wrap the manifold?

Yes weld the 4g94 flange on top of the 4g63 flange then try to smooth the transition in the runners and drill out the bolt holes. DO NOT heat wrap it, if anything get it ceramic coated.

Hey OZrally was your header hitting your radiator hose too? I seen a picture of your setup and I seen a chunk cut out of your hose is this the reason?

gear ratios are correct.
im not sure about drag coefficient, where did you find that information?

i input 2800 for weight because i know all the piping, manifold, turbo, etc. weighed about 100 lbs.

im still looking for a place that will let me weigh my car.
