Yet another thread about Turboing a 03 lancer.
Ok I got very lucky today!!! I just got a evo 9 Intercooler and piping for a $100 and everything is in good condition can you believe that
Generals from what ive heard, are usually not that great for reviews. I probably wouldnt go for them for performance. I did have kumho ecstas on my car for my last set, and for their price, I was very impressed with their performance.
falken azenis rt-615's 205/50/15 is what i have now. and im nothing but impressed everytime i drive it.. i had nitto neo gen 205/50/15s before.. they were decent street tire, but definatelly dont keep up with the performance abilities of the falkens i have now. or the mickey tompson drag slicks. lol u cant complain for 60-80$ tires.. thats good performance at a very cheap price compared to what some larger sizes cost.

Kumho ecstas were another brand I looked at and are even cheaper than the generals. However according to the tire rack reviews the generals are getting higher marks all around than the 2 kumhos they have in my size there, Lancerman have you ran generals before? Has anyone ran these? Falkens would be nice too kinda looked at there tires too but I think they were a little more than I can spend right now.

No ive never run generals, just had heard to stay away and never really bothered to ask much info on them. I had heard from the honda guys to run the ecstas and they didnt disappoint. However, I forget that you have the larger rims on your car as I am running a 195/50r15. For your size, Ive ran toyo proxes 4(amazing tires), some bfgoodrich that i dont remember which kind(great tires), and zexius(great tires). Id just say read up all you can on the tires in your price range and pick out the one best suited for your needs. If your not tracking your car, dont be dumb and buy some kind of super soft tire as you will regret it when your replacing them every 15-20k. I just now invested in some not so performance tires cause Im tired of replacing them every year now. Less than a year actually for the kumhos. Very soft compound, and i beat the hell out of my car in corners. When it comes down to choosing one though, dont just take the first guys word that comes through the door, do the research.

Yaya you know me lancerman Im all about searching and asking questions before purchasing anything. I am taking everything into account not just performance, I want the tires to grip now with my extra power of course but I want them to last awhile too and I dont want to hear every little thing on the road I want them a little quieter. My buddy has bfg g force tires on his mr2 and he loves them but there a little spendy for me at the moment.

Yup havent even considered all season tires. It hardly ever snows here although it is wet alot and the generals have a good wet traction rating, good dry traction, and good treadwear rating as well. Just realized I have 4 yes 4 different types of tires on my car now, damn kids lol traded the other wheels to some kid for the 17s and this will be the first set of tires I purchased for them. Dont feel like kickin the bucket anytime soon and with my crashbar freshly removed I really gotta watch it.
Thanks bro, all I need is the UICP do you know where I can get one, or am I going to have to wait till one just pops up. Which one should I get I'm thinking about getting the HKS SSQ BOV it looks sweet
