Ok so it will still run ok? Another quick note, I was unable to pull my rom today for some reason but it allowed me to flash the new base map fine at least it said completed successfully although there is no way for me to confirm this since I cant pull my rom. Link62 dumb question I am sure but you upgraded your fuel pump right?

Well let me be the first to say there all full of sh#t lol my walbro 255 is louder than my stocker but nothing like what other people made it out to be. Put it this way I thought my fuel pump was a dud when I was cranking the motor to prime the feed line cause I couldnt hear a thing. I went so far as to remove the plate and check the connections for a bent pin. But ya its not bad at all man.

Lol yah i just put a 255 in my car also and if the radio is on at all i cannot hear it or if any window is cracked. I though that maybe they sent me the wrong pump like a 190 but nope.

Ok so my idling fuel trims are 12.65, now I can rev it some and not getting much for knock. If I can drive it easy with little or no knock does this mean I am not running lean? Will I have knock for sure if I am leaning out?

Ok so I decremented my injector scaling down twice bringing me to 390 however my low fuel trim stayed the exact same after 16 mins idling. Is 12.5% the max value? If so this means I need to keep decrementing right? And lastly a positive fuel trim means I am going to be running rich afrs I think so I should be safe to drive across town I hope I test drove it around a couple blocks and had my brother in law watch the laptop screen for knock counts and mianly 0 with a couple counts of 1 and one count of 2 and I got on it a little but still didnt go into boost yet.

Why did you change the scaling? I think you meant to change the latency values...

thats what I thought too but I reread the injector section in the sticky "how to tune an evo" and he says to lower the injector scaling number if you have too much positve fuel trim. I know I seen somewhere that talked about adjusting the latency values, maybe someone ca point me in the right direction to find that post?. On a side note I drove the car to the exhaust shop, he is ordering a couple parts and I am dropping off my car wedsnesday for full 3" exhaust yay I logged the whole way there and back, no knock or very very little and I even went into boost just a tad (still too nervous without the wideband) so until I get my exhaust and my egt bung weldedI will leave well enough alone and not drive the car. I finished the wiring on all the gauges and made a mount for my uego althoug I have to move it back some it hits my steering wheel when I turn corners and unclips the top half cover of the steering collum. Anyone have the tinted 7 color glowshift gauges? Mine wont change color for some reason?

Thats the one, thanks Josh. So after my exhaust is on I will log my idle and cruise trims and go from there. Got some wire gonna try and relocate my battery to the trunk tonight and finish most if not all the the interior I still have wires hanging. I think I know why my guages arent changing colors gonna try to fix that tonight as well. Oh and only codes I have popping up are rear 02 (since its sitting in my trunk thats understandable lol) my maf at first (it wasnt clicked in all the way) and map sensor, dont know why that one popped up but I am gonna scan it again as I reset the codes yesterday

Ok so I just scanned my car and got 3 codes, 2 had to do with the rear 02 and one kinda worries me I came back P0171 System too lean (bank1) I guess you were right Link62, My freeze frame data tells me the code occured while stopped idling,I need to double check my logs and check my knock, not sure if I should drive it to back to the shop or not now?? Oh ya gauge color issue is fixed

as long as you havent messed with yur tables and actually boosted too much you will be fine. but now that yur boosted, you really have to watch yur afr's to make sure that they are within check and to also mention in evoscan make sure you have ecu load showing as well. that will help you adjust fuel and timing maps accordingly on yur car to get the perfect tune.

and in the videos that you linked me to(and here) on how to tune an evo and which are great info there to tuning as well, but like the guy said in there and to second the notion on the ecu load, if u look at yur maps they go up from 10-100%, which means almost nothing to wot. 100% ecu load/wot is 0 boost, but now you have boost which is + pressure so you will see 110-130% ecu load depending on how much boost yur running. ive seen evos scaled all the way to 300% ecu load to accommodate their boost. your ecu load will aslo obviously go hand in hand with yur timing and fuel maps as well. just an fyi.

what wastegate you runnin and what lbs spring as well if u dont mind me asking?
