Question I am getting a little leaning issues at WOT around 4k-5k range 90 load around 12.5-12.8, everything before and everything after is fine and I almost have my fuel map maxed out in that area. Also since I now FINALLY have that donut off my car I am on the hunt for a 399 maf, when I get one I will then also install my evo 8 ecu. My question here is am I safe to assume that since I will be using a stock evo maf with all stock evo IC and intake piping that I will not have to touch the maf scaling or smoothing tables? Although.... crap just realize im going to have rescale my injectors again... damn

i would assume so. i got both the ecu and maf coming in the mail. yes the injectors will have to be redone in ecu flash but as for the maf thing i dont see a problem in that.

Just put in the ECU already! You will see how much easier it gets, believe me.

Lol I don't wanna hve to change the maf scaling around twice so just waiting until my maf arrives then gonna slap em both in. Side note any of you turbo guys get traction in 2nd? Doesn't matter if its bone dry as soon as I hit 3k rpms anything over half throttle and my tires just boil instantly. Now I'm not complaining lol does this just come with the territory? Or might I have other issues? My tires have under 50 mi in them btw

No suspension mods at all and I think that might have a helping hand as the ES suspension BLOWS!!! Lol

Ok guys so I got my “mint” condition maf today and the honeycomb is damaged. So is it bad to pull it out? Or is it hard to try and straighten them out? Or I might risk damaging the turbo if chunks come off. or should I just run it as is?

ive read that some of the higher boost evo's were actually sucking in the honeycomb on the maf! i think you can take it out, some people have like epoxied or glued them in somehow.

any way i look at it tho is that if it says mint and it aint mint then its someones fault for screwing up and id be wanting a refund or something.

Ya I am going to mssg him about it. I don't think I will worry about a refund but I understand now why he kept ignoring my request for pics. I will post a pic after work to show yall. Its not the entire honeycomb so not sure if I can just cut the bad section out or not?

You want to keep the honeycomb because it creates a better flow and velocity of air going into the MAF and intake.
