In reality its not easier to simply slap someone elses tune in your car since everybodys setup is different and every car will react differently. However it is nice to have anothers tuned map for reference then you can use it to try different things maybe you had not thought of before. Bottom line is its better to start from the factory tune and go from there
i totally understand, but my question is, if i use factory tune, wouldn't it flood the whole system..when i try to start the car on the evo 8 ecu? since the injectors and the fuel pump are upgraded.. i need some tunnig classes from all of u guys.. lol wish someone lived somewhat close to PA

I got a few messages on how to tune it but how do you do it or scale or change the numbers etc...

Usually your injector scaling number is I wanna say around 10% lower than the rated flow so 440cc = scaling number around 400 give or take
read This post to help understand injector scaling
These videos Helped me tremendously in understanding how to take your log data and use it to adjust your ecuflash maps
This thread Is awesome for a beginners intro to ecuflash
These videos from innovate are interesting in helping you understand the importance of timing and afrs
And This thread is a good overall instruction of tuning in general
and another good injector thread
These are all very good sources to help you understand this program and how to gain the most out of our cars

Anybody know the formula to convert my TPS Voltage to the percentage? I tried using the formula x*100/255 (evoscan formula) where I assume X=raw voltage data but its not making sense?

OMG I am about to destroy my laptop courtesy of HP. I contacted hp tp figure out why it hangs when going into standby and they completely screwed me. Now I cant do jack on it no internet no drivers period WTF??????? My device manager shows absolutely nothing what gives???? But yet I can use the mouse pad. Not only that I cant reinstall everything because I can get my info off of it I mean EVERYTHING that pertains to my car roms, software, all my maps, all my logs I can pull them up fine but I cant get them off because my dvd drive will not recognise anything that goes into it so I cant burn them and transfer them, my memory card reader wont work and cant get any network to transfer it to my pc I am up for any ideas, safe mode is the same story

heres one solution i have and has worked numerous times for me........
buy an external hard drive enclosure for a laptop hard drive. pull the hard drive out of yur laptop now and put it into the enclosure. hook it up to another computer and see if it recognozes the disk. if it does then pull as much of it off as you can (ie. yur my documents folder) and save it to the other computer.
then reformat your laptop and then just copy back over yur data after everything is re-installed.
if you have any more questions lmk. im kinda a computer geek, but not a nerd (they are different

I am thinking this is my only option I will try this JRR thank you, I have tried for about 6 hours straight to fix this and nothing
All I needed was to be able to use the built in card reader
burn the stuff to a disk
usb to a storage device
or get my network car to work and send it to my pc through the router
all failed I have tried installing the drivers like 50 times and they all say failure IDK but thats it for me and hp never again after this crap
guess tomorrow im going to staples (Cant tell I have passed my tolerance for this huh? lol)

Well I guess I have been slacking on my thread lol. Not much to update, I have purchased another ecu and should be here within the next couple days. In the meantime I have been studying patches, 2byte load, knock cel all that fun stuff I will be able to do soon enough when I install my ecu
As of right now running the 399 evo maf with my stock ecu but I am hitting the evo style loads now (around 160 vs 95 with my stock maf) so tuning is a little difficult so just waiting for now and driving without boosting too much as all I do is run very rich.
