ok im officially doing the build tomorrow morning, im going over everything I have just make sure i got every part in working order, I ordered a O2 harness but im worried that it wont come in on time so if worst comes I will probably have to solder my O2 sensor, Im looking back at previous post and turbo lancer siad run it by your car because it makes resistance less? can anyone take pics of thier O2's and show me how you did it so I dont run into this problem at all? I am picking up 16 gauge wiring tomorrow

Look. Here's what you do. Disconnect your O2 sensor and set it aside. Cut the engine harness at the O2 sensor connector about 3-4 inches from the connector. Solder in pieces of wire the length it takes to make the engine harness connector reach your O2 sensor connector. Simple stuff.

On a side note, I never had an issue with my O2 harness not being long enough when I had my 16G6 kit...

You can unplug it alternatively and either live with the code or put a resister in the heater circuit to fake the ecu to thinking its still there with the emulation in place :P

It ought to not be too hard to solder in the extension, I say if you need it do it. If it's long enough, then you're golden. As far as the build being tomorrow, did you take off work and stuff? or are you just going to do it in the evenings or whatever works out. I'm planning to do mine over the course of a week at some point, once I get to where you are with part collecting.

im off monday all day but my car meet is that night but who cares this week when I get it all figured out I will have everything done and I will be boosting . I work tuesday at 5pm so it really shouldnt take me that long to unbolt and bolt everything on since I did the hard stuff already. I think I should be done monday either at 8-9pm or tuesday around 3:00 pm. Im getting up bright and early around 5:00am and heading to lewisville and I should be there around 5:20am I'll sleep for an hour, hour and a half in my car when I get up the engine should be cool enough to work on, and I will take pics of everything im doing so Im praying that I dont run into any problem while doing this build.

hey does anyone know exactly what kind of 16 gauge wire I would be needing to extend the O2 sensor? I found 16 gauge wires red and black outside but it looks like there is copper in the middle, I found it at walmart is this right kind?

Yeah, thats fine. I would have went to Radio Shack instead but your choice. I would have gotten the wire that has the many braided copper wires inside since if you strip majority of wires thats what you would see but that single copper wire will still conduct electricity...

ok well I forgot my camera lol but I brought it this time all I did was change out injectors, spark plugs, took off manifold and and removed the oil pan...

I also found out that my stock flange is going to be to small for my test pipeso there cutting a flange of a evo 8 downpipe and welding it to my exhaust. It should be done tomorrow im waiting on someone to tap my oil pan and tomorrow were doing my exhaust. Getting back to work I will post pics up after work today!!!

bottom of the turbo, if you look at the down pipe bolt connections that water pipe line I had to bend that out of the way because the turbo would have caused some heat damage!!! Bending it only worked al little I had to grind down some of that connection piece to make a clearence

exhaust taken off that was no fun at all!!! I also had to take out the brace bar to get the oil pan out, I stripped a bolt so I had to bend it down to get the motor mount nut off

did you trim the tab on the turbo? that could cause a leak potentially on the water pipe its sitting on.....
