I may have to ban Steven from my thread....getting too fast/furious up in here!!!

Also, changed my oil....saw some glitter in there, not really sure how I feel about that. I've not seen that on this car at all until this change. On my old truck that had like 200k miles yes, but this one...no. So, should I just buy some pistons/rods and rebuild? I kid, I kid...just worried a little is all

On your next oil change, send a sample of your used oil to a lab.
You might want to try shorter oil change intervals also

umm.. 20-50? WTF

how about 10w-30.. and change it ever 2k miles... (or sooner)

i normally just change it before every time i go to the track or whenever i know i will be abusing the crap outa it.. Might be 2k miles... might be 200.. who knows.. just always trying to keep clean fluids in it.

on a perfect Dd tune, sure 3-4k is fine. but last time i checked.. most peoples dd tunes arent perfect.

I run 10w-30 as well. I did an oil change while I was under there putting in the clutch. Oil looked fine and I change every 3k give or take a couple hundred.

Yes, I do every 3k. 5w-30 though. I have basically" slept on it" and I am going to leave it, not freak out, and just keep my lead door going. Next change, oil sample and if something screws up, I am buying my wifes gmama's truck that she keeps saying she will make the replacement farm truck. I would then either tear my engine down and run low comp forger internals, or if mine sucked enough, buy a used engine and do it up. All together though, it would cost me like 3k to do it up right, with me doing the labor. Maybe I need to apply for higher paying jobs....

Look what I did today!

Don't mind the girlie towel, I didn't really think about it at the time...I'm regretting it now, lol.

O rings are so much thicker on the stock ones, re-used them.

I can see why the new ones flow so much more....more holes, more fun!

Scaled them to 375, which is 85% of 440, and it seems perfect. I'll iron out inconsistencies with latency and VE....but seems good so far. I have a GM boost solenoid on order, going to see if it opens/closes when using the stock lancer ECU...if it doesn't, no biggie (unless it ****s my ECU up). Anyway, if it does work, I'm going to run 10-12 psi, depending when I can get it all figured out. Still thinking about the things I need to upgrade at some point....clutch for sure, maybe lose the cat, new intake without recirc, maybe new bov that is more responsive, move license plate out of the IC's way, not so sure what else...

My thermostat freakin' crapped out on me over the past week or so, but bad today. Had to turn the A/C off while driving around in the 110 degree heat....I'm certainly medium well.

Anyway, bought a new one, just for fun I cooked both of them on the stove, new one opened right at 180 degree and the old one just barely opened at 185 degree, but never really opened....so, I'm returning the one that I bought, it doesn't seem to fit. Should get it back together tomorrow and be happy as a clam. Driving the Wrangler for a day, love that jeep....(wife's mom's vehicle).

I love wranglers, we have been looking for one as the wife wants something to drive in the winter time to work when its icy (the truck does awesome but she hates trying to park that beast) plus as bonus I will have a play toy

Overheating isn't fixed. I think the slim fans can't move enough air to handle the ac condenser in idle traffic on a 110 degree day. I either want a more massive fan, or to just get rid of the lancer. More than anything lately it just sort of pisses me off...
