Sigh, looks like no boost control, at least by the ECU. I guess the lancer ECU, even though it has that pin for wastegate control, it doesnt maybe have anything connected to the inside of the ecu to that pin. I hooked the gm 3port up to it, and then ground the other wire....nothing happened though when i used evoscan to activate it. There's a chance I didn't put the pin in right or ground it, or maybe the evoscan app doesn't activate it right....who knows, but I think I had it all right.

guess it's MBC time then.

This is a much better comparison. There wasn't any knock on the second pull with the higher HP and no silencer in. Who has quiet exhaust, that doesn't inhibit flow? magnaflow I guess? I hate having to hear the wife complain about how loud and embarrassing the car is.

Now....the freakin A/C is giving me trouble. I don't know if it's the same issue with overheating, where I'm not getting enough air across the radiator/condensor, but it's uncomfortable to say the least. I have like...50psi of pressure in the A/C system, and that's how it was stock, so it seems fine, but even driving down the road at like 50-70, it still isn't ice cold. I replaced the little thing on the side of the white box under the dash where the a/c temp knob turns the door inside there, maybe I didn't set it right so it swings all the way "cold" . I guess that's the easiest thing to check.

So...should I A or B, http://i875.photobucket.com/albums/a...ket_61162_.jpg

A is use the stock 11psi wga, and B is to buy an evo ecu, and try boost control with that.

C is an option as well....mbc

B - would be cool but C - would save you a lot of time.

^^^personally from my experience, do the factory wg. this way it will be easier to setup a tune for that pressure, THEN look into an ebc,mbc or even factory.

with going with a bigger springed wg then it will open at that pressure and wont vary as much when trying to get the tune correct. when i did mine i jjust went right away with the ebc and it took me a bit to get it all set right. when i finally did it all worked, but if i were to do it again i would have just swapped springs in my TiAL, than kept the same 7psi spring i got from rrm.

plus the other reason for a bigger wg is that you wont get as much in boost spike as well.

also start simple and safe, then blow it up....lol

It was 112 in austin, and I didn't get to sit in traffic much, but didn't overheat at all today, and haven't really for quite some time. Still going to get the aluminum radiator and a 14inch pullers fan though, just cause. Window tint this week too, as dark as. I can legally.

the evo wastegate has a soft spring set up which means in higher rpms the boost will taper down alot

3 things...

1. New fan is going to be here Friday, so that's what I am focusing on this weekend. If I can keep coolant temps down with the A/C on, I'll certainly be happy.

2. I ordered an Evo ECU, and am going to try to get some ecu boost control going with my gm 3 port ...so that'll be fun.

3. I have a really good feeling timing map finally, I just like it...here it is!

Just cause that's how the stock lancer rom looked. Lots of guys are using timing closer to the evos, but I am basically trying to stay as similar to the base lancer timing. The only thing I really can't 100% get right is that the loads change a tad, so 80 on the lancer lines up where 90 load is in the evo rom. I'm pretty sure 40 lancer is to 50 evo, but I really don't know exactly how to tell. Wish I had 2 lancers...

My HP so far

4 pulls, they are all sort of the same road...although it's a couple thousand feel difference. Like, start at light, blow through third....slow to a 2k roll in third....floor it again, make the U turn, and do it again....so 1 and 3, and 2 and 4 sort of compare to eachother. It's also like 100 degrees out when I'm doing this, I'm sure that robs power.
