I had my blue injectors cleaned. They were flowing 405 at 12.5 before and now 425 after cleaning. So....I hope they fit though, because they are out of a Saab with an ej whatever the wrx uses, like a Saab 92 aero or something. Probably will see if they work this weekend. 13ohm top fed.../me crosses fingers.

I don't mean to sound like a 16 year old, but I love the turbo and I can't wait to bump it up to 10psi. Tearing off at lights when some douche wants to speed up, get over and then turn right....making you slam on the brakes...is better than sex. There's nothing better than the defeated look on peoples face in my rear view when they just can pass me. I still don't get it to this day, why some people can't stand to move over behind someone...they "have" to speed up and get past a car. Well...like I said, don't mean to sound like a kid, but that's pretty much the reason I turbo'd the thing.

Still....I could stay at 6psi and be just as happy as a clam, now that the wastegate spring is staying tight again. I think it may have weakened or shrunk with the heat from the exhaust or something like that. Anyway.....425cc injectors....grimspeed or gm boost solenoid....10psi!

Think I'll have to upgrade the clutch? Should I just do it, or wait and see?

ej20/ej25 depending on what litre engine it was (2.0 would be an ej20 for instance) . but as long as they are high impedence and top feed it will work.

now try all that with an open dump w/g and THEN tell me again. i went open w/g on my rex asnd it def gets ppl's attention quick.

if yur upping boost just retune and try again. 10psi on that car is more than enuf and unless you build the internals, the turbo will never see full potential.

as for clutch, well thats up to you. if it slips then you know you got to upgrade. i upgraded right away but i also needed a clutch as well. now my rex i just put back in a stock one and it holds at 25 right now. been like that for over 6 months now so that works. basically run it till it slips...

If your still running the stocker clutch then here is what I say. If this is your only rig then replace the clutch so you dont have an unexpected break down . If you have another vehicle you can fall back on then run that clutch into the ground just to see how much punishment it really can take

that's why I turboed my car. People kept telling me why on a lancer and an auto at that.

I kept telling them that alot of OEM cars that are auto are turboed as well.

and two I would tell them the exact same scenario you said above. That face is priceless.

I had a dream last night that I got 8.5:1 comp pistons, and a whole slew of supporting mods relating to head work and what not......what would that sort of build get in the quarter mile (with LSD).

would depend on a few variables... fuels.. tubo.. cam.. tune.. tires.. weight...

i wouldnt go 8.5:1 unless i was sticking to pump gas ... but with e85 u can run 9.5:1-10.5:1 and still make big power without risking the motor.. even better on race gas...
with some 24.5x8x15 slicks w/ 20psi on a 8.5:1 (assuming pump gas) would put u into the high 11s range. e85 or racegas with afew more psi, and an equally good tune, low 11s, possible 10s depending on if ur breaking axles every pass or every other pass.
