Maybe something is banging around in there at 3k rpm, making it register knock. Exhaust leak?
its either his timing or fuel, im going to do what I can to help him out tonight so he can boost. I will try to get you to at least 5 by tonight because I have to do a pull tonight as well to see where my load maxes out

HOLY CRAP your timing is choppy I see why your knocking

1.) your loads are off for example your going by 5 counts, im adjusting them to 10 because if you want to boost more your going to run out of load.

2.) im adjusting your rpms becuase you have one part that is choppy on there.

I will stay up tonight and do this for you ok so give me till like 4am or tomorrow morning before I see if my evo is being delivered tomorrow

take it to a local shop and they can torque it for you its alot easier. Your only going to get 4 psi at the max becuase the spring takes away 1 pounds at least. if you want more boost your going to have to put more preload on it but lets see how this rom does for your car so far.

I want the same log with AFR so we can eliminate those knocks. If I see there not real we will put your knock sensor level to evo 8 settings like mine.

does anyone know the purpose of the vacuum control valve?

i plan on either connecting one wire to both of the connections that lead to it, or capping it because it leaks a lot of boost.

and here are some pics of the valve and the vacuum diagram as well as the egr valve which is not to get confused with this.
