solder? is that some special stuff or something?

its just where the connector is on the back im not sure i always have to play with it to get it to work at all.

anyways i got the afrs in the low 11s for now and i have been adding some timing and it has cleared it up pretty well!

ill still try to post some logs as soon as i can get my wideband logging correctly

go to radioshack and buy a soldering gun and some soldering wire. It's pretty much welding. It will allow the connections to have a continous connection.

Just don't fray anything up by holding the iron on the wires too long. If you are just spinning the wires together, that may be why it doesn't work consistently

It sounds like you might ought to try for a refund/replace then. The AEM gauge? or the gloshift one?

If it doesn't plug in right, then it's not something you can fix.

omg i know its set up right i have the black wire grounded and at #5 and the blue wire at the serial output wire and at pin #2.

its just the plug at the back of the guage it sucks and I bout it used so theres no warranty and it is the AEM.

just search the web for drivers thats how i got mine to work. stupid $40 serial to usb adapter didnt even come with 64 bit drivers!

Afrs that rich could cause knock. Do like me, and have a tuning laptop with a serial port on it......that's right, i'm here visiting from the year 1998!

Maybe something is banging around in there at 3k rpm, making it register knock. Exhaust leak?
