Confirmed: Evo ROM Can Be Flashed to Lancer ECU
ok so i change the memmodel and added the new xml and when to pull the rom off my car and still no go say i need a def files still, and when i read an old rom with the change def file it makes my rpm and loads our of wack and now the auto option arent greyed but they all show 0 or everything
EDIT:for some reason, its working on my laptop but not on my desktop..? wierd
i even reinstalled ecuflash 6 times...
Try inheriting from your old xml file if you can then close out ecuflash and see if it created the file. My desktop was being *****y too :P
its like ecuflash have some kind of memory usage like a RAM..

i found a fix!
replace your def file on your evo rommetadata!!
ecuflash is reading our ecus as an EVO! lol
so in my case, i have two xmls, one for the 256kb and one for the 512 ones.
the 256kb xml should be in the lancer rommetadata and 512kb should be in the evo one.

Hillarious I guess I'll push for an update on ecuflash forums and hopefully get this resolved later thanks for the ground work Clixt
UPDATE: not all ecus/roms, but in my case yes.

yea im still having no luck when i read my ecu and tell it to inherit from my modded def file i get a blank 512 rom
