Awesome i found it now

I'm going to disassemble the auto tranny rom and see if the code appears for the AT control in the evo and how to get it enabled.

Took a look and there are a couple good spikes in that area but sometimes without even any knock. I would still try to get it out with tuning first just as a precaution before we try to make the knock sensitivity less.

the manual evo uses a completely different pinout and connector numbers then the lancer auto, , the gta uses almost the same as the manual evo , if someone has a copy of that pinout I think thats the key to this ,

Someone would have to disable the extra one gear in the wagon rom and I think it'd work

OK guys update.

There is a major problem trying to use the evo 8 rom on an auto. I have disassembled partially a volunteers rom and have discovered I think the reason I'm having so much trouble finding the auto transmission variables.

Its pretty simple, the rom isn't really 256kb in size its really 512kb like the evo 7 GT-A rom. So essentially I think the auto guys at this point could use the larger 512kb gt-a rom as previously suggested. I'll need to do some more research to figure out how that will work though shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Auto transmission guys I need someone to do an experiment for me.

Download and place this file into this folder.

C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\read templates

If you had ecuflash open close and reopen it. I need you to read the lancer rom again trying the new read method of 2002-2007 lancer a/t

It should produce a 512kb file. It shouldn't be dangerous to read the rom even if it fails. If this works I believe we can tap into the Evo 7 GTA rom or hack up an Evo 9 rom which is based off the evo 7 GTA to be used for turbo'ing the car

so do i just copy and paste it, then open my rom?
EDIT: oh and btw, if you try to read the lancer ecu thru evo 9, its gonna produce a 512kb rom.
EDIT 2: i used to have the "flashed" ecu before so its reading thru evo9/eclipse AT.
i tried it again with a normal ecu and it didnt work.

No I need someone to try reading the rom again.

If you had flashed the rom with an evo one you'll need to flash ti back before trying this. Just read thec ecu with the program and select lancer a/t instead of evo 8 this time.
