Question Moding advice

Im getting a 2006 Lancer ES, and I plan on moding it. Is there any advice you guys can give me? What should i mod first? what brands should I get? I plan on doing engine upgrades and lowering it at some point. I also will plan on putting a system in it.

well it depends on what you are going for. to be honest the 4g94 in our cars isn't very mod friendly and so don't expect to have a fast car or anything unless you are going the turbo route. road race motorsports in California has some headers and exhaust systems for our cars but their prices are high. there are a couple places in Europe that deal with our cars though i can't remember their names offhand. also what kind of audio are you hoping to put in your car? i am MECP certified so just let me know if you have any questions about that.

This may be a surprise to the evo community but not everyone wants an evo . I like the fact that my car was bought with cash and I have been able to experiment without breaking the bank. Also the fact that my insurance is only $20 a month is very nice as well.

To each his own I guess lol and I'm pretty sure plenty of us guys own our Evo's, so we can experiment like mad scientists too . Good luck with your plans bud

Not trying to insult anyone just hate it when people post "buy an evo" and thats it, at the very least give some constructive feedback to the OP. I may get an evo at some point but right now its fun pushing the limits of this econobox

Why turbo the lancer after you have the evo? You will want to play with that once you get it. Turbo the lancer now to hold you over UNTIL you get the evo ;-). my 2 cents

Ah temptations...

Do you think it would even be worth it on a 04 oz rally lancer with only 120 stock horsepower though?

Yes! and Yes! 200whp+ is really fun in a light car. I have a 2013 mustang gt with flowmasters and they run a 12.8 stock and 420hp at the crank. But yet I keep finding myself driving my turbo lancer over the mustang on a daily basis. Especially since I went to speed density and got the VTA BOV... Pure sex!
