This may be a stupid question and I haven't bothered to search it, but since I'm not starting a thread about it and its on topic, sort of, what exactly is the benefit/use of the FPR?

correct me if i'm wrong, but on the contrary, its a rising rate fpr, so you can use one setting disc thingy for n/a, one for boost

Your stock FPR has no adjustability and is very weak pressure wise. Also, it has no setting for when your engine needs fuel the most, Wide Open Throttle (WOT). This is the main reason the 4G94 engine bogs down heavily at low RPM and loses power at the top of the powerband, lack of fuel. Installing an aftermarket fuel rail and FPR increases the amount of available fuel and forces you injectors to shoot more fuel the higher your engine revs. Thats the beauty of adjustability, you can set it up to make sure your engine always has the right amount of fuel to make power. No more bogging. More fuel=more power.

Sweet, thanks! Makes total sense. Now you say aftermarket fuel rail helps - I'm assuming its becuase it has a larger bore, thus increasing the volume of available gas, correct?

ding ding ding! correct you are. basically, it allows for a small reserve of fuel to be stored right behind the injectors, available when you romp on it, so it removes or reduces throttle lag caused by lack of fuel

The B&M Commandflo that GSC motorsports is offering for the Evo in the Evo Vendor Forum.

here is a link: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...5&page=1&pp=15

YES! it does fit the OZ with some minor modification and works beautifully. $80 is much better than the $200+ that other shops charge for the big replacement unit. Its also very stealth if you get the silver one...
