I wont flame. I encourage it, that way I can put down any false fears or concerns regarding WHAT I KNOW. and 1 thing i DO KNOW is that this is THE swap to do on your lancer. you drive a suby aswell..good going. now you have a car that was designed to fail.
How was the lancer not designed for fuel economy? Have you seen a lancer commercial? It was designed to compete with civics, proteges, etc. not be the fastest car on the block. The RA is a different car and was designed to be fun and sporty like a base impreza or a SE-R. What does my suby have to do with this?

Actually, I do believe that his car was stolen and crashed, so asking him how his car is might be a lil sensitive, lol.

PMs have been sent to a couple folks. Please keep the personal chatter and bickering to a minimum. This thread is about a 4G64 swap into a Lancer.

In any case, what RPM said is true, bcause the cost is great for the engine swap. In addition to that, the potentials passed the engine swap are a lot more than the g94 can give. So, more or less, if you buy $3k turbo kit for our lancers now, you top out at whatever it gives you. With this engine swap there are so many more things that you can do.

Well apparently RRM knows a guy who has a 370 whp lancer so the engine is hardly topped out when you bolt-on a stage 1 kit. Something to learn from the 370 whp, the tranny doesn't like high power. If you swap in a new motor and jazz it up you'll have to start worrying about other parts breaking. Remember, the car was designed to handle 120 hp, not 300. I doubt the axles are very strong (as evident by people breaking them stock), the tranny won't be amazing (why would it be?) and other bits could be a problem. If you're just shooting for 200-250 hp though this is definitely an option for those wanting something a bit different.

It's the JDM galant, not use Galant, using 6a13, not 6g7x motor in the US.

Don't quote me but I think you need everything from the 4G64, wiring included.
