Nice job on the write up ruff. Really opened up doors for a lot of people. Big props! I'm new to tuning and have a few questions about the process and items you used and items i can use.

1) Wiring harness- actually, therer is only 2 wires of a difference between the G64/G94. Whats the difference? Do i need to get the whole harness and switch it or i can just rewire?

2) AND YOU WOULD STILL BE ABLE TO IMPROVE AND GO TURBO, MATE A 4G63 HEAD AND STROKE IT TO A 2.3L. If i mate a g64 block to a g63 head is there any machining or is it direct bolt on and what other things should i look for? Isn't belts on the g63 on the right side of the engine bay while the g64 in on the left? What should i look out for? What year should be the parts?

3) Where and how much did you get the headers?

4) Do you still have the crower cam shaft FS?

Last question it's stupid but... is this smog legal?

Sorry too many questions and if they have bin answered already just read thru 27 pages.

Thanks

1) in all honesty, Revenge Motorsports handled the wiring (i hate spider webs/wires)
they told me ot was like only 2 wires that were different, but i think some wires had to be rerouted or something like that...but you can take it to a shop THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING and they can wire up this swap. I WOULD HIGHLY recommend getting the complete harness.

2) I NEVER GOT TO THAT POINT, but PLENTY of evo's have under gone this transformation so its not that hard to do. just have a shop (OR YOU) research that part to know what is needed to be done. look into the 2.3 Stroker Kits. I personally dont know what all is needed to do to make THAT part of the swap happen.

3) i got the HEADER (no "s") online and i dont recall how much it was...i think i put it on the front page?

4) Yes! I have ANOTHER crower regrind cam shaft...gonna start selling em on socal3g or to any other forum that supports the 4G64 motor. cost?...im thinking $235 (with core replacement) $350 (without core replacement).

5)YES, it CAN BE smog legal if you keep all the emissions equiptment on your lancer and you get a motor from a car that is the SAME year OR NEWER than your Lancer and get all the carb compliant performance parts.

My down time will mainly come from doing a tranny swap at the sametime while doing the engine swap. Snap and I will probably get the engine and do the swap. Personally, I would have wanted to do all the suspension mods first, but I'm getting tired of being overtaken by tegs and shiz!

i have found 3 4G64 motors here in san diego...2 are in one location for 550 and the 3rd is 650. they are all from automatic Galant's (so you know the motor wasnt ran hard) and they are all in junk yards...

im now looking for a Lancer shell to do this again! most likely, i'll be buying one from Tijuana, Mexico to avoid all the BS with Cali smog s**t!

How much do you think it would cost to ship a motor cross country?

Man, if you are interested, I could ask a few questions for you.

Once the wiring is done, it could be less than a weekend swap.

You know where we both live, you have both of our numbers ..... but admit it, it was more fun doing it yourself.

PS: I sent the Ecuadorian mafia over there to break your knees about my engine lift
